NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held on the 6th day of June, 1938, the following special resolutions were passed :—

“ That the company be voluntarily wound up; and that FREDERICK HAROLD MASTERS, of New Plymouth, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the above company held on the 13th day of June, 1938, the following special resolution was passed :—

“ Resolved as a special resolution that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that such winding up be a members voluntary winding up as provided by section 226 (3) of the Companies Act, 1933, and that JOHN McLENNAN, of Napier, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company for the purposes of such winding up.”

KAITAIA TOWN BOARD.
——
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
——

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Kaitaia Town Board hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twelve thousand pounds (£12,000) authorized to be raised by the Kaitaia Town Board under the above-mentioned Act for installing a gravitation water-supply for the Kaitaia Town District from Okahu Falls and reticulating the Town District, the said Kaitaia Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of fivepence and one-halfpenny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Kaitaia Town District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the twentieth day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The common seal of the Kaitaia Town Board was hereunto affixed this 15th day of June, 1938, in the presence of—

AKITIO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
——

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Akitio County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000 authorized to be raised by the Akitio County Council under section 8 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Amendment Act, 1934, for the purpose of providing the Council’s share of the cost of metalling the Huia-Iti, Kawakawa, Korora, Spur, and Waiowaka Roads respectively, the said Akitio County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twenty-third of a penny (1/23d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property in the County of Akitio, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Akitio County Council at a meeting held in the Council Chambers, Pongaroa, on the 13th day of June, 1938.

IN accordance with the provisions of section 5 of the Water Supply Amendment Act, 1913, it is hereby notified that the Waimate County Council has duly appointed the following to be members of the Lower Waihao Water Race Managing Ratepayers Committee and that it has conferred on such committee all the powers of management it possesses in respect of all water-races supplying the Lower Waihao Water Race District, viz. :—
