LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICE.

EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of the Outstanding Duplicate of Memorandum of Lease No. 9427 over part Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 4994, part of Reserve 119, situate in Block IV, Rangiora Survey District, being part of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 305, folio 163 (Canterbury Registry), whereof CHRISTOPHER OSBORNE QUICK (erroneously described in the said lease as Christopher Quick, of Sefton, Farmer (now deceased) ), is the registered lessee, and application having been made to me to register a surrender of the said lease, I hereby give notice that it is my intention to register such surrender dispensing with the production of the said outstanding duplicate with the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

KAIKOURA COUNTY COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Kaikoura County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £360 (three hundred and sixty pounds) authorized to be raised by the Kaikoura County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extension of electric supply mains in Beach Road, Kaikoura Township, the said Kaikoura County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property of the Beach Road Electric-light Extension Loan, 1937, Special-rating Area, comprising a portion of the Suburban Riding, being all that land in the Marlborough Land District situated in Block X, Mount Pyffe Survey District, bounded as follows: Commencing on the sea-coast at Hawthorne Road; thence westerly along the northern building-line of Hawthorne Road to its junction with Lyell Creek; thence by Lyell Creek to the north-western corner of Section 10, part Section 140; thence along the northern boundary of the said Section 10 to Beach Road; thence southerly along Beach Road to the northern boundary of part Lot 1, part Section 342; thence by the northern boundary of the said part Lot 1, part Section 342 to the sea-coast; and thence in a southerly direction by the sea-coast to Hawthorne Road, the point of commencement: and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twelve and a half years (12½) or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of an extract from the minutes of proceedings of a meeting of the Kaikoura County Council held on Friday, 3rd June, 1938.
