FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and in the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Franklin County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the construction of a road within the County of Franklin—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situated in Roulston Street, Pukekohe, and are open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by and who have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or the taking of such lands, must state their objections in writing and send the same, within forty days from the 1st day of June, 1938, being the day of the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the County Office, Roulston Street, Pukekohe.

PARKER-BONDERITE REFRIGERATION, LIMITED.
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of PARKER-BONDERITE REFRIGERATION, LIMITED.
NOTICE is hereby given that a declaration of solvency having been filed in pursuance of section 226 of the Companies Act, 1933, a meeting of shareholders of the above-named company held at Christchurch on Tuesday, 24th May, 1938, passed the following special resolution:—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that GEORGE LEWIS POMFRET-DODD, of Christchurch, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”
All persons or companies having claims against the company are required to send full particulars to the undersigned on or before the 20th day of June, 1938, otherwise they may be excluded from participation in any distribution of assets.

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the above-named company will be held at No. 308 N.Z. Insurance Buildings, Queen Street, Auckland, on Thursday, the 23rd day of June, 1938, at 11 a.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner in which the winding up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator.

EDUCATION BOARD OF THE DISTRICT OF TARANAKI.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Taranaki proposes to provide land as a school-site: And for such purpose requires to take all that piece of land being part of Lot 3 on Deposited Plan No. 2419, and being part of Section 54, Block 13, Ngaere Survey District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres and 3·2 perches, more or less, and bounded as follows:—
Commencing from a point the south-western corner of the said Lot 3; thence bounded towards the south-west by Lot 2 on the said Deposited Plan No. 2419, 750 links; thence towards the south-east by other part of the said Lot 3, 400 links; thence towards the north-east by other part of the said Lot 3, 720 links; thence towards the east by other part of the said Lot 3, 152·9 links; thence towards the north-west by the Boylan Road to the commencing point.
A plan of the land required to be taken as aforesaid is deposited for public inspection at the Eltham County Council Office, Stanners Street, Eltham.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said work or to the taking of the said land, and to send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice on the 3rd day of June, 1938, to the Education Board of the District of Taranaki at its office in Lemon Street in the Town of New Plymouth.

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Invercargill City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on the Invercargill City Council Water and Drainage Loan, 1938, of £70,500 authorized to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting and installing a purification plant for the Invercargill City water-supply and extending the sewers, storm-water drains, and water-supply to the areas which were, by Order in Council, added to the City of Invercargill on the 1st day of August, 1937, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal six six two pence (0·662d.) in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council held on Thursday, 2nd June, 1938.
