Land taken for Housing Purposes in the City of Christchurch.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and section thirty-two of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1936, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for housing purposes: and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the thirtieth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 1 rood 32 perches.

Being portion of Lot 8, D.P. 1088, and being part Rural Section 154.

Situated in the City of Christchurch (Canterbury R.D.) (S.P. 2456.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 96097, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of May, 1938.

Land taken for the Purposes of Workers’ Dwellings in Block V, Waiapu Survey District, Waiapu County.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of workers’ dwellings, and shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waiapu as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the sixth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 13 acres 3 roods 18 perches.

Being portion of Wairoro No. 2 Block.

Situated in Block V, Waiapu Survey District (Gisborne R.D.). (S.O. 1520, brown.)

In the Gisborne Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 98612, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of May, 1938.
