Declaring Areas to be Closely Populated Localities for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.
IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport does hereby declare the areas described in the Schedule hereto to be closely populated localities for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed-limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE.
SITUATED within Manawatu County—
All that area of Foxton Beach Township inclusive of Linklater Avenue and of that portion of the Foxton Beach Main Highway from its junction with Linklater Avenue to the end of the Main Highway at Foxton Beach.
All that area at Sanson adjoining and comprising the Wellington—Auckland via Taranaki Main Highway No. 1 commencing at a point 5 chains measured along the road in a north-westerly direction from its junction with Farmer Street and terminating at a point 5 chains measured along the said main highway in a south-westerly direction from its junction with the Sanson—Palmerston North Main Highway, a distance of approximately 37 chains.
All that area at Sanson adjoining and comprising the Sanson—Palmerston North Main Highway No. 57 commencing at a point 8 chains measured along the road in a south-easterly direction from its junction with the Wellington—Auckland via Taranaki Main Highway and terminating at the said junction.

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport does hereby exclude the road described in the Schedule hereto from the limitation as to speed imposed by the said section.

SITUATED within Roxburgh Borough—
Clarksville—Springvale Main Highway No. 127 (all that portion commencing at its junction with Smith Street and terminating at the southern boundary of Roxburgh Borough, as now constituted, a distance of approximately 57 chains).

Multi-axled Heavy Motor-vehicle under the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932.
I, ROBERT SEMPLE, Minister of Transport, do hereby approve as a multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle under the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, any heavy motor-vehicle of the class or type described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
LEYLAND Motors, Limited’s, five-axled motor-vehicle described as an articulated tank wagon based on a “Bull-terrier” chassis, when conforming with the respective plan which is numbered 586 and is deposited in the offices of the Transport Department, Wellington.

Approving of Red Reflectors for Bicycles in Terms of the Traffic Regulations, 1936.
IN terms of regulation 21, clause 2, of the Traffic Regulations, 1936, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Transport, do hereby approve for the purposes of the said regulation of the red reflectors of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

Approval of Testing Officer under the Motor-drivers’ Regulations, 1931.
IN terms of regulation 5 of the Motor-Drivers’ Regulations, 1931, the Minister of Transport does hereby approve, until further notice, of the person named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being Testing Officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

Notice of Intention to take additional Land in the Town of Pembroke for Recreation Purposes.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the additional land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a recreation ground. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Pembroke and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.
