Section 1, Scenery Preservation Reserve, Block IV, Lewis

by a reserve along the western side of the said Lake Daniells
and Crown land along the right bank of the aforesaid Alfred
River; towards the west by Sections 3 and 10, a public road,
and Sections 4 and 1, Block XVI, Rahu Survey District, a
public road, Sections 3 and 1, a public road, and Section 2,
Block XII, Rahu Survey District, and Sections 6 and 3,
Block VIII, Rahu Survey District; towards the north by
Sections 5 and 9, Block VIII aforesaid, to and across a public
road and Station Creek or Sheriff River; towards the west
by a public road, Section 18, Block VIII aforesaid, to and
across a public road, Digger’s Creek, and another public
road, by Section 17, Block VIII aforesaid to and across a
public road, Coal Creek, and another public road, by Sec-
tion 19, Block VIII, Rahu Survey District, Sections 5s, 4s,
3s, and 2s, Maruia Settlement, Block IV, Rahu Survey Dis-
trict; towards the north by Section 22, Block XVI, Burnett
Survey District, a public road, and again by the said Section 22;
towards the west by the aforesaid Section 22 and Sections 21,
20, and 19, Block XVI, Burnett Survey District, to and
across Caves Stream and a public road; towards the south-
west by the said public road; to the north-west and west
by Section 8, E.R. Block XII, Burnett Survey District;
towards the north by a provisional State forest (Gazette 1920,
page 933); towards the east by Diamond Creek; towards
the south and west by Section 3, Block IX, Matakitaki
Survey District, to and across a public road, Caves Stream,
and a public road; towards the north by the last-mentioned
road; towards the east and north by Section 2, Block XIII,
Matakitaki Survey District; towards the east by a public
road, to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 1,
Block XIII aforesaid, and across that road and Thistle Creek;
and towards the north by Section 1, Block XIII aforesaid;
towards the east by a public road; towards the north by the
crossing of that road and Section 9, E.R. Block XIII aforesaid;
to and across a public road and Granity Creek and by the said
Section 9, E.R.; towards the north-west by Section 8,
Block XIII aforesaid; and towards the north-east by Sec-
tion 2, Block XIV, Matakitaki Survey District, a public road,
and again by the said Section 2; save and excepting Section 1,
Block IX, Una Survey District and all public roads.
Also all that area in Inangahua County, being Section 6,
Block XIII, Matakitaki Survey District, containing by ad-
measurement 112 acres, more or less, and being portion of
Provisional State Forest No. 82 (Gazette 1920, page 933).
As the same are more particularly delineated on plan No.
121/4, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service
at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Also all that area in Buller and Murchison Counties, con-
taining approximately 51,157 acres, being Provisional State
Forest No. 53 (38,157 acres, Gazette 1920, pages 930, 931, and
Gazette 1936, pages 334 and 968—ordinary provisional State
forest) and Crown land (13,000 acres), situated in Inangahua,
Burnett, and Maruia Survey Districts, and bounded generally
as follows: Towards the east by Section 1, Block III, Maruia
Survey District, by a permanent State forest (Gazette 1910,
page 3281) and by Sections 2, 3, and 5, Block VII, Maruia
Survey District; towards the north-west by the said Sec-
tion 5 and by Section 5, Block VIII, Maruia Survey District;
towards the south-east by Section 7, Block VIII aforesaid,
Sections 1 and 2, Block XII, Sections 1, 2, and 3, Block XI,
and Sections 1, 2, 4, and 10, Block XV, Maruia Survey Dis-
trict; towards the south by permanent State forest (Gazette
1936, page 968) to the crest of the Brunner Range on the
boundary between Inangahua and Murchison Counties;
towards the south-west, north-west, and again south-west by
the Inangahua County boundary to Section 5, Block VI,
Inangahua Survey District; towards the west and south-
east by Section 5 aforesaid; towards the north-west by Crown
land and a public road; towards the north-east and north-
west by Section 5, Square 134; towards the north-west by
Sections 22 and 7, Square 134, a public road, Section 1,
Block VI, and Section 7, Block III, Inangahua Survey Dis-
trict, and a public road; towards the north and west by
Section 14, Block III, Inangahua Survey District; towards
the north and west by Section 20, Block III, Inangahua
Survey District; towards the south by Section 20 aforesaid
and a public road; towards the west and south by Section 28,
Block III aforesaid; towards the north-west and west by a
public road; towards the north by Section 3, Block III
aforesaid; towards the west, north-west, and east by a public
road; towards the east by Section 15, Block III aforesaid;
and towards the east, north, north-west, and north-east by
Scenery Preservation Reserve 6 (in red). As the same is
more particularly delineated on plan No. 114/3, deposited in
the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington,
and thereon bordered red.

General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of

Amendment to the Regulations under the Government Railways Acts.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day
of May, 1938.

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon
him by the Government Railways Act, 1926, and its
amendments, and of all other powers and authorities enabling
him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby amend the regulations made under the Govern-
ment Railways Act, 1908, on the twelfth day of June, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and published in
the Gazette of the fifteenth day of June, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty-two (as from time to time amended
and as the same are enuring under the Government Railways
Act, 1926), by adding the following regulation :—
“75A. Where the use by an employee of his own motor-
car or motor-cycle for travelling on the business of the
Department has been approved by the General Manager (or
by any officer of the Department duly authorized by the
General Manager), such employee shall be entitled to be
paid an allowance for such use at such rate as may from time
to time be fixed by the General Manager.”

National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Richard Johnston,
Alma Honnor Mexted,
Lionel Claude Mexted
Herbert Cecil Price, and
Thomas John McDowell
to be the Paewhenua Domain Board, having control of the
land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby
appoint Tuesday, the thirty-first day of May, one thousand
nine hundred and thirty-eight, at eight o’clock p.m., as the
time when, and the Paewhenua Hall, as the place where, the
first meeting of the Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—PAEWHEENUA DOMAIN.
SECTION 17, Block XII, Mangaorongo Survey District: Area,
4 acres 2 roods 3 perches, more or less.
