In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the
matter of RECREATIONS LIMITED.
NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to section 234 of the
Companies Act, 1933, that a meeting of the creditors
of the above-named company will be held at the registered
office of the company, Paterson's Buildings, 29 Chancery
Street, Auckland, on Friday, the 13th May, 1938, at 11 a.m.,
for the purposes provided for in sections 234, 235, and 236
of the said Act.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that a final meeting of the share-
holders of Canterbury Loans, Limited (in Voluntary
Liquidation), will be held at the office of the liquidator, John
Burt Corbett, Solicitor, 95 Gloucester Street, Christchurch,
on the 3rd day of June, 1938, at ll a.m. in the forenoon, for
the purpose of receiving the liquidator's report and final
accounts of liquidation.

NOTICE is hereby given that by an entry in its minute-
book the above-mentioned company on the 3rd day
of May, 1938, passed the following special resolution:-
"That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that
Max R. Fry, of Gisborne, Accountant, be and is hereby
nominated as liquidator of the company for the purpose of
such winding up."
Notice is further given in accordance with section 300 (7)
of the Companies Act, 1933, that a meeting of creditors be
held at the office of the undersigned, 98 Derby Street, Gisborne,
on Friday, 13th May, 1938, at 2 p.m.

GREYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.
Blaketown Gas Reticulation Loan, 1937.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and
of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Greym-
mouth Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-
"That for the purpose of providing for the payment of
the instalments of principal and interest and other charges
on a loan of £3,000 authorized to be raised by the Greymouth
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of carrying out gas reticulation in the Blaketown
area of the said Borough, the said Greymouth Borough
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of .18267 of a
penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis
of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the
Borough of Greymouth, exclusive of rateable property in
the Cobden area of the said Borough, and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of April in
each and every year during the currency of such loan, being
a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of and a
correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the
Greymouth Borough Council at the meeting held on the
5th day of May, 1938.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.
Sewerage Extension Loan, 1937.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and
of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the
Greymouth Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That for the purpose of providing for the payment of
the instalments of principal and interest and other charges
on a loan of £30,000, being portion of the Sewerage Extension
Loan, 1937, authorized to be raised by the Greymouth
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of carrying out sewerage extension in the Freehold
Town South and Blaketown in the Borough of Greymouth,
the Greymouth Borough Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of 1.82666 pence in the pound upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable
property in the Borough of Greymouth, exclusive of rateable
property in the Cobden area of the said Borough, and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first
day of April in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is
fully paid off."

that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and
of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the
Greymouth Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That for the purpose of providing for the payment of
the instalments of principal and interest and other charges
on a loan of £2,000 authorized to be raised by the Greymouth
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of carrying out improvements to Omoto Road in
the Borough of Greymouth, the said Greymouth Borough
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of .121782 of
a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis
of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the
Borough of Greymouth, exclusive of rateable property in
the Cobden area of the said Borough, and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of April in
each and every year during the currency of such loan, being
a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off."

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926,
and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the
Greymouth Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That for the purpose of providing for the payment of the
instalments of principal and interest and other charges of a
loan of £700, being portion of the Cobden Water Supply
Loan, 1935, of £8,000 authorized to be raised by the Grey-
mouth Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of providing a high-pressure water-supply
system in all that portion of the Borough of Greymouth
situate on the north side of the Grey River which portion is
hereinafter referred to as "the Cobden area" of the Borough
of Greymouth, the said Greymouth Borough Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of .76334 of a penny in the
