Weighted with £950 for improvements, comprising house
of seven rooms, bathroom, and kitchenette, washhouse, shed,
three large glasshouses, fencing and paths. This sum is
payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £50, the
balance of £900 will be payable over twenty-five and a half
years by instalments of principal and interest combined
amounting to £31 10s. per half-year.
Property is No. 19 New Windsor Road, one mile from
Avondale Post-office, School, and Railway-station by metalled
road, and half mile from the Avondale tram route. Section
is flat to undulating, the soil being of a clay nature. Ring-
fenced with a hedge on road-boundary. The house has been
renovated throughout. The glasshouses are in need of repair.
The property is suitable for market gardening, and is very
convenient to the Auckland City, which provides a good
market for produce of this nature.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section
is open for selection on optional tenures under the
Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o’clock
a.m. on Monday, 30th May, 1938.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday,
1st June, 1938, at 10.30 o’clock, a.m., but if any applicant
is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land
Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
Applicants are required to produce for inspection when
examined documentary evidence of their financial position,
such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from
managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms,
or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial
assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should
state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply
guarantees of their own financial position.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of
the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant
is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a
deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period
rent, lease and mortgage fees, and deposit in reduction of
weighting for improvements.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Otorohanga County.—Mangaorongo Survey District.
SECTION 9, Block VIII: Area, 435 acres 3 roods. Capital
value, £410. Deposit on deferred payments, £45: Half-
yearly instalment on deferred payments, £11 17s. 3d.
Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £8 4s.
Weighted with £390 for improvements, comprising cowshed
and yards, piggeries, implement-shed, garage, fencing and
grassing. This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a
deposit of £50, the balance (£340) may remain on mortgage to
the State Advances Corporation of New Zealand payable over
a period of twenty-five years by means of half-yearly instal-
ments of principal and interest combined with interest at the
rate ruling as at date of selection subject to a rebate of
¼ per cent. for payment of the instalments on or before fourteen
days after the due dates thereof. The selector will require
to meet the costs of preparation and registration of the
mortgage.
A dairying and grazing proposition situated on Holmes’
access road, sixteen miles from Otorohanga Railway-station,
Dairy Factory, and Saleyards, two miles and a half from
Maihihi School. Access by metalled road. Undulating to
hilly section intersected by a deep gully. Approximately
150 acres has been grassed, but has reverted, and is now
badly infested with ragwort which requires immediate
attention. Soil is a medium loam on rhyolite and clay
formation; watered by running streams.

is open for selection on renewable lease under the
Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o’clock
a.m. on Monday, 27th June, 1938.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at
the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednes-
day, 29th June, 1938, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any
applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any
other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is
required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit
comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and
lease fee.

Piako County.—Te Aroha Township.
SECTION 34, Block LXII: Area, 1 rood 13·5 perches. Capital

Farmer Street, three quarters of a mile from Te Aroha Post-
office. Access by tar-sealed road and footpath.
