Additional Land at Christchurch taken for the Purposes of the Hurunui–Waitaki Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Hurunui–Waitaki Railway to take further land at Christchurch in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway :
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land :—

Situated in City of Christchurch. (S.O. 2445, red.)
In the Canterbury Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 4627, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured violet.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day of April, 1938.

Defining the Middle-line of a Road in Block XVI, Cape Campbell Survey District—viz., Portion of the Ure River Road.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a road desired to be constructed over Block XVI, Cape Campbell Survey District—viz., portion of the Ure River Road—shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point in Section 282, Block XVI, Cape Campbell Survey District, and proceeding thence in a westerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 1 mile 7·4 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c., viz., Sections 282, 270, and 269, Block XVI, Cape Campbell Survey District, and terminating at a point in the said Section 269 on the right bank of Boar Creek ; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses : all in the Marlborough Land District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 99148, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 29th day of April, 1938.
