Land in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 26th April, 1938.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section will be offered for sale for cash by public auction at the Lands Office, Tauranga, at 2.30 o'clock p.m. on Thursday, 2nd June, 1938, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Tauranga County.—Katikati Parish.
ALLOTMENT 101B : Area, 34 acres 1 rood 18 perches. Upset price, £100.
A grazing property situated on Steel’s Road, approximately two miles and a half off the Tauranga-Waihi Main Highway, eleven miles from Katikati Post-office and School, and three miles from Athenree Railway-station ; access from Katikati or Waihi, last two miles and a half being formed clay road. All flat and partly salt-marsh land covered in tea-tree scrub. Blackberry is in evidence, and there is a fair amount of timber buried in the swamp which is effected by tidal conditions. The section is not considered suitable as a separate holding but could be used as a run-off in conjunction with other land in the locality.

Land in Marlborough Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim, 27th April, 1938.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, 14th June, 1938.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim, on Thursday, 16th June, 1938, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position, such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms, or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply guarantees of their own financial position.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at the conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, lease and mortgage fees, and deposit in reduction of improvement loading.
NOTE.—This land is offered in terms of section 153 of the Land Act, 1924, which provides that no right to any mineral under the surface shall pertain to the lessee, whose rights shall be to the surface soil only.
SCHEDULE.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND. Sounds County.—Gore Survey District.—Marlborough Mining District.
SECTION 2 of 37, Block XI, and Section 2 of 2, Block XV : Area, 558 acres 0 roods 22 perches. Capital value, £280 ; half-yearly rent, £5 12s.
Weighted with £745 for improvements, comprising dwelling (five rooms and bathroom), 15 ft. by 12 ft. cottage, wool-shed, boat-shed, cow-shed, dairy, 140 chains boundary-fencing, 203 chains subdivisional fencing, 30 acres felling and grassing in good pasture, and 527 acres felled and surface-sown, now in fern and rough feed. This amount may be paid in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £45, the balance over a period of thirty-four years and a half by half-yearly instalments of principal and interest (5½ per cent.) combined.
This property is situated at Resolution Bay, Queen Charlotte Sound. Access is by launch from Picton, approximately eighteen miles. Soil ranges from rich loam to clay loam resting on clay subsoil ; well watered by streams. Altitude up to 600 ft.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Friday, 10th June, 1938.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, on Tuesday, 14th June, 1938, at 10.30 a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

Mackenzie County.—Tengawai Survey District.—Cricklewood Settlement.
Lot 7 of Section 8, D.P. 7546, Block XI : Area, 113 acres 1 rood 17 perches. Capital value, £822* ; half-yearly rent, £20 11s.
Weighted with £288 for improvements, comprising dwelling, dairy-shed and yards, fowlhouse and pig-stye, hut, and 70 chains subdivisional fencing. This sum is repayable by a cash deposit of £38, the balance (£250) to be secured on instalment mortgage to the State Advances Corporation for a term of twenty-five years with interest at 4½ per cent.
- Improvements included in the rental value and remaining the property of the lessor, comprise 174 chains of road and party-boundary fencing, windmill and well, plantation, and shelter belts.
This property is situated on the Timaru to Fairlie Main Road, five miles from Fairlie Post-office and three-quarters of a mile from Cricklewood Railway-station and School. The land, which is watered by windmill, well and pump, and water-holes, is subdivided into five paddocks, and comprises undulating downs, partly broken by winding creek course. The property is suitable for mixed farming, approximately 100 acres being suitable for cereal cropping.
