Defining Tauranga Extended River-limits for Vessels engaged in Deep-sea Sports Fishing only.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 189 of the Shipping and Seamen Act, 1908, I, Peter Fraser, Minister of Marine, do hereby amend the Tauranga Extended River and Partially Smooth Water Limits by adding the following proviso after the words “Mayor Island” :—

“Provided that vessels engaged in deep-sea sports fishing only may ply within three miles from the shore of Mayor Island.”

Defining the Brands or Marks to be used on Wrappers for Butter.

PURSUANT to the Butter Marketing Regulations, 1937, made under the Primary Products Marketing Act, 1936, the Minister of Marketing doth hereby define and prescribe the registered brand or mark of any manufacturer and/or wholesale distributor as the only brands or marks to be used on wrappers for butter for sale in New Zealand, and doth hereby further prescribe and determine that the wrapping of such butter in one pound pats or smaller portions shall be carried out only by a manufacturer or a wholesale distributor thereof.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General under the River Boards Act, 1908, and amendments, praying for the abolition of the Otaki River District, situated in the County of Horowhenua. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed abolition of the district, which they desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Hon.
