Lands in North Auckland, Auckland, Wellington, Marlborough, and Nelson Land Districts forfeited.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeit by resolution of the Land Boards of the respective land districts, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o’clock a.m. on Monday, 16th May, 1938.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 18th May, 1938, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position, such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms, or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply guarantees of their own financial position.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount of improvement loading.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Mangonui County.—Rangaunu Survey District.
Sections 3 and 15, Block II: Area, 48 acres 2 roods 16 perches. Capital value, £30. Deposit on deferred payments, £5; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, 16s. 3d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, 12s.
Weighted with £30 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising two-roomed shack 18 ft. by 12 ft., shed 21 ft. by 15 ft., 50 chains internal fencing, 21 chains road-boundary fencing, and half-share in 54 chains boundary-fencing.
This property, the general quality of which is poor, is situated on Rangiputa Road, twenty-one miles from Awanui by all weather road in rough condition. Some 10 acres is drained swamp, and the balance is undulating country in short scrub, rather wind-swept. Soil of sandy nature on sandstone formation; well watered by springs. Not suitable for use as a self-supporting holding.
