WAIRERE ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance of public notice duly given and in pursuance of and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf of the Rating Act, 1925, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1936, and the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and all other Acts empowering, the Wairere Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund and other charges on the loan of £3,000 authorized to be raised by the Wairere Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of improvements to the Board’s generating-plant and headworks and provision of a standby plant and for carrying out such other works, undertakings, and purposes as are authorized as aforesaid, the said Wairere Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing (¼d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Wairere Electric-power District and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period not exceeding twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off at the Board’s Offices, Piopio, to the Board’s Collector.”
The above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Wairere Electric-power Board held on the 16th day of March, 1938.

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Housing Loan (No. 2), 1937, of £100,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred thousand pounds (£100,000) authorized to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the acquisition of land and the erection of workers’ dwellings and for any other purpose in relation to workers’ dwellings as described in Part XXVII of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny farthing (1¼d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first (1st) day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on Monday, the 14th day of March, 1938.
