Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 27th April, 1938, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position, such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms, or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply guarantees of their own financial position.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease and mortgage fees, and deposit in reduction of improvement loading.

SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Rotorua County.—Rotoiti Survey District.

SECTION 21, Block V: Area, 194 acres 1 rood 32 perches. Capital value, £145. Deposit on deferred payments, £10; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £4 7s. 9d.; renewable lease: half-yearly rent, £2 18s.

Weighted with £195 for improvements, comprising house, road-boundary fencing, internal fencing, half-share in boundary-fencing, clearing and grassing. This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £25, the balance of £170 may remain on mortgage to the former lessee of the property, payable over a period of fifteen years by means of half-yearly instalments of principal and interest (5 per cent.) combined amounting to £8 3s. 10d. each half-year.

A grazing property situated on a back road off Hamurana road, eleven miles from Ngongotaha Post-office, Railway-station, Dairy Factory, and Saleyards. Approximately half the property is undulating land the balance being badly broken; there is no surface water. Ragwort is bad and requires immediate attention. Section would be suitable as a run-off in conjunction with other land in the locality.

THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Waitomo County.—Whareorino Survey District.

Section 8, Block VII: Area, 683 acres 3 roods. Capital value, £160. Deposit on deferred payments, £10; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £4 17s. 6d.; renewable lease: half-yearly rent, £3 4s.

Weighted with £100 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising whare and half-share in approximately 120 chains boundary-fencing.

A grazing property situated on the Te Marama Road, twenty-five miles from Awakino Post-office and Saleyards, six miles from Waitkawan School, seventy miles from Te Kuiti Railway-station; access is by metalled road from the railway. Section comprises approximately 50 acres undulating country, balance hilly and broken; watered by running streams and springs. Approximately 200 acres is in worn-out pasture, balance 483 acres is in natural state—bush. Ragwort is in evidence and requires attention. Section is not considered suitable as a separate holding but can be used for grazing in conjunction with adjoining land.

Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o’clock a.m. on Tuesday, 26th April, 1938.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 27th April, 1938, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

(Exempt from payment of rent and interest for two years.)*
Part Rangitoto A 60B Block, Block XI: Area, 485 acres 1 rood. Capital value, £815. Half-yearly rent, £16 6s.

Weighted with £185 for improvements, comprising house, sheds, and wool-shed. This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £10, the balance of £175 may be paid over a period of fifteen years by half-yearly instalments of £8 8s. 7d. (including both principal and interest).

A grazing property situated on Davis’ Road, eleven miles from Otorohanga Post-office, School, Railway-station, Dairy Factory, and Saleyards. Access is by metalled road eight miles and a half, balance formed clay road two miles and a half. Section comprises easy undulating to hilly country of which about 250 acres is ploughable. At present approximately 185 acres is in worn-out pasture, 250 acres is bush land which has been felled and grassed and has now reverted to fern, balance 50 acres is in standing bush. Area is watered by springs and stream. Ragwort is in evidence.

*After payment of the prescribed deposit, no rent and no interest on the loading will be charged for a period of two years.

SECTION 48: Area, 94 acres 3 roods 21·4 perches. Capital value, £1,045*; half-yearly rent, £26 2s. 6d.

*The capital value of £1,045 includes the sum of £566 for improvements belonging to the Crown.

Buildings valued at £205 and comprising a dwelling (in poor condition) and a garage are repayable in cash or over a period of fifteen years by half-yearly instalments of principal and interest combined amounting to £9 17s. 6d. each.
