RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Roxburgh Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £5,500, authorized to be raised by the Roxburgh Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for sewerage and drainage purposes, the said Roxburgh Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1s. 5d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Roxburgh comprising the whole of the rating area of the Roxburgh Borough Council, and that special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the first day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

In the matter of the Christchurch District Drainage Act Amendment, 1922; and in the matter of the special area described in a resolution of the Christchurch Drainage Board dated the seventeenth day of April, 1923, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 37 of the twenty-sixth day of April, 1923, and as altered by resolutions of the Christchurch Drainage Board dated the fifteenth day of February, 1927, the twenty-first day of June, 1927, the sixteenth day of April, 1930, the sixteenth day of February, 1932, the twenty-first day of March, 1933, the nineteenth day of November, 1935, the twenty-sixth day of May, 1936, the twenty-fifth day of June, 1936, and the twenty-second day of June, 1937, and published in the New Zealand Gazettes Nos. 11, 54, 37, 14, 23, 89, 40, 46, and 45 of the third day of March, 1927, the twenty-eighth day of July, 1927, the twenty-second day of May, 1930, the twenty-fifth day of February, 1932, the sixth day of April, 1933, the fifth day of December, 1935, the eighteenth day of June, 1936, the sixteenth day of July, 1936, and the eighth day of July, 1937, respectively, known as the Sewerage Extension Loan Special-rating area.

PURSUANT to the powers vested in it by the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act, 1922, section 5, subsection (f), the Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves that the boundaries of the said special area, as defined by resolution of the Board dated the seventeenth day of April, 1923, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 37 of the twenty-sixth day of April, 1923, and as altered by resolutions of the Christchurch Drainage Board dated the fifteenth day of February, 1927, the twenty-first day of June, 1927, the sixteenth day of April, 1930, the sixteenth day of February, 1932, the twenty-first day of March, 1933, the nineteenth day of November, 1935, the twenty-sixth day of May, 1936, the twenty-fifth day of June, 1936, and the twenty-second day of June, 1937, and published in the New Zealand Gazettes Nos. 11, 54, 37, 14, 23, 89, 40, 46, and 45 of the third day of March, 1927, the twenty-eighth day of July, 1927, the twenty-second day of May, 1930, the twenty-fifth day of February, 1932, the sixth day of April, 1933, the fifth day of December, 1935, the eighteenth day of June, 1936, the sixteenth day of July, 1936, and the eighth day of July, 1937, respectively (hereinafter referred to as “the Special Area”), shall be further altered so as to include in the said special area all those areas more particularly described in the Schedules hereto: And further resolves that the said areas shall form part of and be included in the subdivision “B” of the said special area, and the boundaries of the said subdivision “B” shall be altered accordingly so as to include therein all those areas more particularly described in the Schedules hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 1 rood 20·5 perches, more or less, and being Lot 1, plan number 11020, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch, and being part of Rural Section 56, situated in Block X, Christchurch Survey District, being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 451, folio 171.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 35·6 perches, more or less, and being Lot 3, plan number 8731, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch, and being part of Rural Section 54, situated in Block XV, Christchurch Survey District, being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 451, folio 140.
