Appointment of Deputy District Public Trustee.
NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of the power and authority vested in the Public Trustee by section 3 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921-22, f, William McLean Barr, an Assistant Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, and duly authorized to exercise the powers of the Public Trustee, have appointed
Algar Herbert Ihle, of the Public Trust Office, Christchurch, to be Deputy of the District Public Trustee, Christchurch, during the absence of such District Public Trustee from his headquarters from any cause, and all previous Warrants appointing any Deputy of the said District Public Trustee have been revoked.

Sale of Unclaimed Property.

IT is hereby notified that unclaimed property in the hands of the Police at the various Police-stations will, if not claimed before Saturday, the 19th February, 1938, be sold thereafter by public auction.
Particulars as to the time and place of sale may be obtained from the Superintendent or Inspector of Police in charge of the District.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
Retail Sale of Motor-spirit.
I HEREBY give notice that applications have been received from-
(1) S. Richardson, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at his store at Okarito.
(2) The Rural Trading and Agency Company, Limited, Princes Street, Dunedin, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit in drums.
(3) W. W. Toy and Company, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at the Godley Accommodation House, Diamond Harbour.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 3rd February, 1938. All representations must set out clearly the grounds for same and include a statement showing the gallonage throughput of petrol sold and the nature of the business conducted by the person making the representations.

Taking of Fish.
I HEREBY give notice that applications have been received from-
(1) Messrs. Murray and Meekle, for a license to take fish at Mercury Bay by means of a 45 ft. 75/100 h.p. motor-launch, using long-lines, and supplying the Thames market.
(2) E. W. F. Lowndes, for a license to take fish and crayfish at Ohiro Bay by means of a 26 ft. 10 h.p. motor-launch, using set-nets, long and hand lines, and crayfish gear.
(3) A. Thompson, for a license to take fish at Westport, by means of a 50 ft. 45 h.p. motor-launch, using lines and trawling, and supplying the Westport market.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 3rd February, 1938.
