Revolving the Prohibition imposed on the Importation of Opiate.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-six of the Customs Act, 1913, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the twenty-fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and five, and published in the Gazette on the sixth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and five, at page 1619, made under the authority of section sixty-seven of the Customs Laws Consolidation Act, 1882, and section six of the Customs Duties Amendment Act, 1900, prohibiting the importation of opiate, an article used in brewing in the place of hops.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of January, 1938.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway to take further land at Addington in addition to land previously acquired for the purpose of the said railway, and to take land for street-diversion in connection therewith:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 15th day of January, 1938.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.
