Decisions of the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

I HEREBY give notice that pursuant to the authority conferred on the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936, the following decisions in respect to applications for licenses have been made.

McLaughlin, A. J. To install one pump on applicant's property, Main Road, between Halswell and Tai Tapu Halswell Declined 7th Feb., 1938.
McCrory, J. H. To move one pump on to applicant's section on Great South Road, and install an additional pump Otahuhu Declined 7th Feb., 1938.
Neal, W. F. To install two pumps outside proposed new garage premises, corner of Gordon and Great South Roads Otahuhu Declined 7th Feb., 1938.
Singh, B... To take over one pump at a store at Kopaki, and transfer two pumps from his present store to the new site opposite Kopaki Permission granted to transfer two pumps to the new site, but the existing pump at the new site to be closed 7th Feb., 1938.
Porter Motors, Ltd. To install six pumps at a proposed new service station on the corner of Church and Princess Streets Palmerston North Declined 7th Feb., 1938.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Retail Sale of Motor-spirit.

I HEREBY give notice that applications have been received from—

(1) O. B. Cottrell, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at a proposed new service station on the Western Hutt Road about half a mile south of the Belmont Railway-station.

(2) Nicholson and Skeates, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit from a pump to be installed inside the applicants' garage at 54 Fitzherbert Avenue, Palmerston North.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 24th February, 1938. All representations must set out clearly the grounds for same and include a statement showing the gallonage throughput of petrol sold and the nature of the business conducted by the person making the representations.

(4) H. R. Benton, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at a proposed new service station at Milson.

(5) R. S. Williamson, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at a proposed new service station at the junction of the Western Hutt Road and the Haywards-Pahautanui Road, Hutt Valley.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 3rd March, 1938. All representations must set out clearly the grounds for same, and include a statement showing the gallonage throughput of petrol sold and the nature of the business conducted by the person making the representations.

Retail Sale of Motor-spirit.

I HEREBY give notice that applications have been received from—

(1) Auto Maintenance and Repair Ltd., for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit from a pump to be installed in front of the company's premises at 11 Ashton Street, Gore.

(2) S. P. Skinner, for permission to install one additional petrol pump at his garage in McLean Street, Woodville, with the intention of developing a service station.

(3) Miss G. Bennett, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at her premises at Awatoto.
