Alterations to the Scale of Charges upon the New Zealand Government Railways.
IN pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling me under the Government Railways Act, 1926, and its amendments, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, I, Daniel Giles Sullivan, Minister of Railways, do hereby make the following alterations in the General Scale of Charges made on the 4th day of November, 1931, and published in the Gazette of the 13th day of November, 1931; the Lake Wakatipu Steamer Service Scale of Charges made on the 8th day of June, 1932, and published in the Gazette on the 9th day of June, 1932; and to the Goods—Local Rates Scale of Charges made on the 17th day of October, 1935, and published in the Gazette of the 18th day of October, 1935, in force on the New Zealand Government Railways open for traffic.
GENERAL SCALE OF CHARGES.
PASSENGERS.
By omitting the words “Wellington (Lambton) or Wellington (Thorndon)” wherever they appear, and substituting in lieu thereof the word “Wellington”.
20. School Season Tickets.
Paragraph 2: By omitting from fifth, sixth, and seventh lines the words “so that the period of the currency of such ticket is longer than would have been the case if the terms as approved by the Education Department had been observed”.
21. Free School Season Tickets.
Paragraph 2: By omitting from fifth, sixth, and seventh lines the words “so that the period of the currency of such ticket is longer than would have been the case if the terms as approved by the Education Department had been observed”.
LOCAL FARES AND REGULATIONS.
39. Suburban Weekly Twelve-trip Tickets.
Paragraph 1: By adding after the words “Wellington District” the words “Paekakariki—Wellington”.
41. North Island Main Line and Branches.
By adding the following new paragraphs:—
10. TRIP BEARER TICKETS BETWEEN PAEKAKARIKI OR PUKERUA BAY AND WELLINGTON.
Trip bearer tickets, second class, available for six single journeys, will be issued for travel between Paekakariki or Pukerua Bay and Wellington at the following rates:—

These tickets will be subject to the same conditions as suburban trip bearer tickets issued under the provisions of Regulation 40.
11. SUBURBAN WEEKLY TWELVE-TRIP TICKETS BETWEEN PAEKAKARIKI OR PUKERUA BAY AND WELLINGTON.
Suburban weekly twelve-trip tickets, second class, available for six outward and six homeward trips per week, will be issued for travel between Paekakariki or Pukerua Bay and Wellington at the following rates:—
