Islands County Council all the powers with respect to the supply of water for domestic or industrial purposes exercisable by a duly constituted Borough Council under sections eighty-two to eighty-four, eighty-six to eighty-eight, Part XX (with the exception of sections two hundred and fifty-one, two hundred and fifty-three, and two hundred and fifty-four), and section three hundred and forty-six of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, but subject to the restriction that such powers shall be exercisable only over that portion of the County of the Bay of Islands described in the Schedule hereto.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto the Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces published in the Gazette dated the sixth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five.

SCHEDULE.

FINANCIAL INSTRUCTIONS AND ALLOWANCE REGULATIONS FOR THE NEW ZEALAND MILITARY FORCES.

  1. These regulations may be cited as the Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces, 1925, Amendment No. 45.

  2. These regulations shall be read together with and form part of the Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces, 1925 (hereinafter called “the principal regulations”).

  3. Regulation 43 of the principal regulations (as substituted in Gazette No. 10 dated 10th February, 1938), is amended by deleting “£660” under subdivision 4 of the rate of pay for the rank of Major and substituting therefor “£600,” with effect from the 1st day of April, 1937.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 15th day of February, 1938.
