A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Wellington–Foxton Railway to take further land at Pukerua Bay in addition to land previously acquired for the purpose of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 2 acres 0 roods 10·7 perches.
Portion of Waimapihi Block, Block V, Paekakariki Survey District, Hutt County. (S.O. 20049.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 5074, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day of February, 1938.

Additional Land at Ohinewai taken for the Purposes of the Kaipara–Waikato Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Kaipara–Waikato Railway to take further land at Ohinewai in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway: And whereas it is desirable to take only the surface of such land for the purposes herein specified, together with a portion of the subsoil thereof:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-one, thirty-four, and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the surface of the land mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, together with that part of the subsoil of such land below the formation levels of the said railway shown on the plan marked L.O. 5059, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, as is described in the Second Schedule hereto, is hereby taken for the purposes aforesaid.
