Land taken for the Purposes of an Automatic-telephone Exchange in the Borough of Otahuhu.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of an automatic-telephone exchange; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the seventeenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 32·18 perches. Being Lot 8, D.P. 19310, and being part Fairburn’s Old Land Claim No. 269A.

Situated in Block VI, Otahuhu Survey District (Borough of Otahuhu), (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 29293.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 97886, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of December, 1937.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a State Highway Depot; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the seventeenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight.

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 97022, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of December, 1937.

Altering the Boundaries of the North Canterbury Electric-power District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and section forty-nine of the Local Legislation Act, 1933, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in that behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter the boundaries of the North Canterbury Electric-power District so as to include the area described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, being that portion of the County of Amuri that is included in the area described in the Second Schedule to the Local Legislation Act, 1933.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of December, 1937.

Revoking in Part a Proclamation setting apart Lands in North Auckland Land District for Special Settlement as Inferior Lands.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section five of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke in so far as it relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto the Proclamation made on the twenty-third day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, and published in the Gazette of the first day of November then instant, setting apart lands for special settlement as inferior lands, under the provisions of section two hundred and twenty-three of the Land Act, 1924.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—WHANGAREI COUNTY.
SECTION 54, Block IX, Purua Survey District, Poroti Block: Area 178 acres.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/4382, filed in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (North Auckland Plan S.O. 25001.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 23rd day of December, 1937.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District containing by admeasurement 1,594 acres 3 roods 9 perches, more or less, being part of Subdivision 5A, Raetihi Block, situated in Block IV, Makotuku Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north-west by Lot 1, D.P. 2105 being part of Section 1, Block XVI, Manganui Survey District, for a distance of 2745·6 links; towards the north-east by Subdivisions 1C 1, 1C 2, 1C 3, and 1C 4, Urewera Block, for a distance of 18281·0 links; towards the south-east by Subdivision 5B 1, Raetihi Block, for a distance of 7079·3 links;
