NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between EDGAR RAYMOND PEARCE and WILLIAM SCOTT carrying on business at Dunedin as bricklayers under the style or firm of “Pearce and Scott” has been dissolved as from the 30th day of November, 1937. The business will be carried on by the said Edgar Raymond Pearce under the style or firm of “E. R. Pearce, Bricklayer, Dunedin.”

MOTUEKA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Motueka Borough Conversion Loan, 1935.

IN pursuance and exercise of powers vested in it in that behalf of Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Motueka Borough Loans Conversion Order, the Motueka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the new securities authorized to be issued by the Motueka Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act and order in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule to that order, and also the sinking fund, interest, and other charges in respect of unconverted securities issued in respect of such loans, the said Motueka Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seventy-one one-hundredths (71/100ths) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Borough as constituted on the 23rd July, 1935, and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities, and be payable yearly on the last day of March in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the 30th day of September, 1953.

The above resolution was duly passed by the Motueka Borough Council at a meeting duly held on the 15th day of December, 1937.
