ESTATE OF EDWARD RICHARD BETTS.
In the matter of the Administration Act, 1908, and its
amendments, and in the matter of the Estate of EDWARD
RICHARD BETTS, late of Waiuku, Farmer, but now
deceased.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Public Trustee of the
Dominion of New Zealand, on the 15th day of December,
1937, pursuant to the powers in that behalf conferred upon
him by section 62 of the above-mentioned Act, filed a certifi-
cate in the Supreme Court at Wellington electing to administer
the above estate under Part IV of the said Act, and that the
said estate will, as from the said date, be administered,
realized, and distributed in accordance with the law and
practice of bankruptcy.
Notice is further given that I do hereby summon a meeting
of creditors of the above estate to be held at the Public Trust
Office, Pukekohe, on Wednesday, the 29th day of December,
1937, at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon.
Notice is finally given that all creditors, whether they
have already submitted their claims or not, are required to
prove their debts within the time and in the manner provided
by the Bankruptcy Act, 1908. Proof-of debt forms may be
procured at my office.

the United States of America and having its principal place

New Zealand.

NOTICE is hereby given that a first and final dividend
of 15s. 8d. in the pound is now payable on all proved
claims in the estate of Matthew Clare, of Waipahi, Farmer.

In the matter of the Religious, Charitable, and Educational
Trusts Act, 1908, and its amendments, and in the matter
of a trust created by Deed of Declaration of Trust dated
the 3rd day of July, 1918, and executed by the Right
Reverend Thomas Henry Sprott, William John Birch,
and George Shirtcliffe, declaring the trusts under which
were held certain moneys received and to be received by
the said trustees, such trusts being generally for the
erecti0n and equipment of a Cathedral in the City of
Wellington on land therein occupied by St. Mark’s
Church or on any other land in the City of Wellington,
such fund being known as the Wellington Cathedral
Askew Fund.
NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of
section 18 of the above Act that a petition has been
filed in the office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court at
Wellington by the Wellington Diocesan Board of Trustees
which Board is the present trustee of the property arising
from certain bequests comprised in the above trust for the
approval by a Judge of the Supreme Court of a scheme under
Part III of the said Act for the disposition of such property
in (inter alia) the purchase of a site fronting Hill Street and
Molesworth Street, Wellington, upon the ground that the
original purposes of such trust have become inexpedient, and
that the said scheme and petition will be considered and
dealt with by a Judge of the said Court at the Supreme
Court at Wellington, on Friday, the 28th day of January,
1938, at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon or so soon thereafter
as counsel can be heard.
The said scheme is open for inspection by the public at the
office of the Registrar of the said Court at Wellington without
fee or charge.

TAKAPUNA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
For Conversion Loan in Terms of Takapuna Borough Loans
Conversion Order, 1937.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest
Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, Section 20
of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1935, and the Takapuna Borough
Loans Conversion Order, 1937, the Takapuna Borough
Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on the new securities authorized to
be issued by the Takapuna Borough Council under the above-
mentioned Acts and Order in conversion of existing securities
issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule to
that order, the said Takapuna Borough Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of fourpence and eighty-two hund-
redths of a penny (4⁸²⁄₁₀₀d.) in the pound upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable
property of the district, and that such special rate shall be
an annually recurring rate during the currency of such secu-
rities and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each
and every year until the last maturity date of such securities,
being the 31st day of May, 1965, or until all such securities
are fully paid off.”
