Notice to Mariners No. 1 of 1938.

Temoana Rock Light Buoy under Overhaul.

MARINERS are hereby advised that the Temoana Rock light buoy will be removed for overhaul on or about the 15th January and replaced by an unlighted black buoy. No further notice will be given.

Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.—Declaration by the Registrar dissolving a Society.

I, JOHN MORRISON, Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that the Christchurch Musical Comedy Company, Incorporated, is no longer in operation the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.

Appointment of Deputy District Public Trustee.

NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of the power and authority vested in the Public Trustee by section 3 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, I, William McLean Barr, an Assistant Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand and duly authorized to exercise the powers of the Public Trustee, have appointed John William Durey Mardon, of the Public Trust Office, Christchurch, to be Deputy of the District Public Trustee, Christchurch, during the absence of such District Public Trustee from his headquarters from any cause, and all previous Warrants appointing any Deputy of the said District Public Trustee have been revoked.

Settlement Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewal Lease.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 11th January, 1938.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 14th February, 1938.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 16th February, 1938, at 10.30 a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.

Hobson County. — Tokatoka Survey District. — Koremoa Settlement.

(Exempt from payment of rent for three years.*)

SECTIONS 20s and 21s: Area, 317 acres 3 roods 14 perches. Capital value, £80; half-yearly rent, £2.

  • Exemption from rent for three years is conditional on permanent improvements to the value of £20 being effected each year in addition to the improvements ordinarily required in terms of the lease.

These sections comprise hilly to steep land of comparatively poor quality covered in stunted tea-tree and heather. The soil is of a clay nature on sandstone; watered by a narrow swamp arm.

This area is not considered suitable for use as a separate self-contained holding, but should work in well with other fully-developed land in the locality.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 14th February, 1938.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 16th February, 1938, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position, such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms, or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply guarantees of their own financial position,
