Vesting a Reserve in the Maniototo County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 15th day of December, 1937.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for gravel purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Maniototo :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Maniototo, in trust, for gravel purposes.

SECTION 10, Block XXI, Blackstone Survey District : Area, 1 acre, more or less.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint—
His Worship the Mayor of Oamaru, ex officio,
The Deputy-Mayor of Oamaru, ex officio,
The Chairman of the Oamaru Borough Reserves Committee, ex officio,
The Chairman of the Waitaki County Council, ex officio,
The President of the North Otago Automobile Association, ex officio,
The Member for the Moeraki Riding of the Waitaki County, ex officio,
The Member for the Otepopo Riding of the Waitaki County, ex officio,
Leonard Vivian Couch, and Alexander Budge
north branch of Waianakarua River, 370 links, across a public road and towards the south-east and south-west by said river, 7900 links; and again towards the south-west by Sections 17 and 18, 2620-6 links; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/7244, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Consenting to Additional Land being taken for the Purposes of a Fire-brigade Station in the City of Auckland.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes of a fire-brigade station.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land permitted to be taken: 36-65 perches.
Being part Allotments 36 and 37, Section 29, Town of Auckland.
Situated in Block XVI, Waitemata Survey District (City of Auckland), (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 29155.)
In the North Auckland Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 96978, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Consenting to the Term of a Tramway License applied for by the Westfield Freezing Company, Limited, authorizing the use of Steam, Oil, or Electricity as a Motive Power and permitting the use of Rolling-stock up to 8 ft. in Width.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 15th day of December, 1937.

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Westfield Freezing Company, Limited, a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Westfield (hereinafter together with its successors and assigns referred to as “the licensee”), has made application to the Mount Wellington Road Board, a body corporate incorporated under the Road Boards Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the local authority”), for a license for a term of twenty-one years under the provisions of the Tramways Act, 1908, to maintain an existing private tramway across that portion of the Great South Road, Wellington Road District, lying between St. Ann’s Bridge Corner and the Borough of Otahuhu, distant about four and three-quarter {43} chains from the said corner, bounded on the east by the Sylvia Park Estate and on the west by part of Buckland’s Grant, and delineated on plan marked P.W.D. 97545, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington:
And whereas by the Tramways Amendment Act, 1910, it is provided that the license may be for such term not exceeding twenty-one years as the Governor-General in Council approves: And whereas the licensee is desirous of using upon the said tramway carriages and rolling-stock up to eight feet in width: And whereas by the Second Schedule of the Tramways Act, 1908, it is provided that the Governor-General may allow carriages and rolling-stock up to eight feet in width to be used on any tramway in cases where he is satisfied that they may be safely and conveniently
to be the Glencoe Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Friday, the seventeenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, at three o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Waitaki County Council Chambers, Thames Street, Oamaru, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
