Notice of Intention to take Land in Block XII, Matakaoa Survey District, for the Purposes of a Road and for River-protection Purposes respectively.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the First Schedule hereto for the purposes of a road and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto for river-protection purposes : And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Te Araroa, and is there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
LAND PROPOSED TO BE TAKEN FOR THE PURPOSES OF A ROAD.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken :

Notice of Intention to take Land for Housing Purposes in the City of Palmerston North.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 32 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1936, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes : And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Chief Post-office at Palmerston North, and is there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Notice that Land is vested in the Public Trustee pursuant to Part II of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908.
WHEREAS by notice published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 11th day of June, 1936, and in the New Zealand Herald on the 30th day of June, 1936, the 9th day of July, 1936, and the 18th day of July, 1936, the Public Trustee did call upon the owner of that parcel of land containing 34 acres, more or less, situated in the Province of Auckland and Dominion of New Zealand, and being part of the Waitangi Block, and known as south-eastern portion of Allotment Number one hundred and thirty-seven of the Parish of Makarau, in the County of Marsden : Bounded towards the north-east by a road 100 links wide 1035 links ; towards the south-east by Allotment Number one hundred and thirty-eight 3670 links ; towards the south-west by a road of width aforesaid 975 links ; and towards the north-west by other portion of Allotment Number one hundred and thirty-seven 3360 links ; be the said measurement a little more or less, and being all the land referred to in conveyance dated the 16th day of March, 1874, from the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland to Caroline Nicholson, wife of Mark Edwin Bullen Nicholson, of Auckland, Doctor of Medicine, within six months of the date of publication of the said notice in the New Zealand Gazette to establish his title to the said land to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee, and stated in such notice that if the said owner did not do so the Public Trustee would exercise with regard to the said land all the powers and authorities granted to the Public Trustee in and by the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its amendments : And whereas the owner of the said land has not established his title thereto : And whereas the value of the said land is less than £500 : Now, the Public Trustee gives notice, pursuant to the provisions of section 67 (d) of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, as amended by the provisions of section 38 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921-22, that the said land is vested in the Public Trustee and will be administered under the provisions of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its amendments.

Details : An unwatched light, flashing white every four seconds, flash 1 sec., eclipse 3 secs., is exhibited from a white concrete pillar in the above position.
