In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of PREMIUM BOND CORPORATION, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was on the 6th day of December, 1937, presented to the said Court by Vangelo Lurajud, of Timaru, Restaurant Proprietor, and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Christchurch on the 17th day of December, 1937, at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon, and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

This petition is filed by Rex Clifford Abernethy, Solicitor for the petitioner, whose address for service is at the offices of Messrs. Raymond, Raymond, and Tweedy, Solicitors, Strathallan Street, Timaru.

NOTE.—Any person who intends to appear on the hearing of the said petition must serve on or send by post to the above-named notice in writing of his intention so to do. The notice must state the name, address, and description of the person, or, if a firm, the name, address, and description of the firm and an address for service within three miles of the office of the Supreme Court at Timaru and must be signed by the person or firm, or his or their solicitor (if any), and must be served, or, if posted, must be sent by post in sufficient time to reach the above-named petitioner’s address for service not later than 4 o’clock in the afternoon of the 16th day of December, 1937.

MOTUEKA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF STRIKING SPECIAL RATE, FOOTPATH LOAN, £1,650, 1937.

THAT in pursuance and exercise of powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Motueka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,650 authorized to be raised by the Motueka Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the formation and sealing of certain footpaths in the Borough of Motueka, the said Motueka Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ³⁄₁₆ths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable land in the Borough of Motueka, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the first day of February and August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF STRIKING SPECIAL RATE, HOUSING LOAN, £1,250, 1937.

THAT in pursuance and exercise of powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Motueka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,250 authorized to be raised by the Motueka Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of acquiring the freehold site and the erection thereon of an official Town Clerk’s residence, the said Motueka Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ³⁄₃₂ths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable land in the Borough of Motueka, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the first day of January and July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
