Deputy Official Assignees appointed.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Bryan Martell Silk,

to be Deputy Official Assignee at Wanganui during the time Edwin Martell Silk holds appointment as Chairman of an Adjustment Commission or Commissions, commencing from the 1st day of December, 1937; and

Edwin Martell Silk,

to be the Deputy Official Assignee at Wanganui in the management of the estate of Frederic Loveridge, deceased.

Appointment of Issuing Officers for the Purpose of issuing Licenses to Fish for Trout under the Taupo Trout-fishing Regulations, 1929.

PURSUANT to the provisions of Regulation 2 of the Taupo Trout-fishing Regulations, 1929, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby authorize :—

Housby Bros., Ltd., corner Customs Street and Anzac Avenue, Auckland, and

Hurley, T., Turangi Tourist Tavern, Turangi,

to be issuing officers for the purpose of issuing licenses to fish for trout under the Taupo Trout-fishing Regulations, 1929.

Royal New Zealand Air Force.—Appointments, Staff Changes, Promotions, &c.

Air Department,

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, staff changes, postings, promotions, &c :—

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND AIR FORCE.

The undermentioned officers are appointed to the Air Board. Dated 1st December, 1937 :—

Group Captain the Honourable R. A. Cochrane, A.F.C., R.A.F., Chief of the Air Staff, to be 1st Air Force Member.

Wing Commander L. M. Isitt, A.D.C., to be Air Force Member for Personnel.

Squadron Leader A. de T. Nevill, B.Sc., A.M.I.Ae.E., to be Air Force Member for Supply.

Staff Changes.

Wing Commander T. M. Wilkes, C.B.E., M.C., A.D.C., relinquishes the appointment of Chief Staff Officer, Equipment, but retains the appointment of Controller of Civil Aviation. Dated 1st September, 1937.

Wing Commander L. M. Isitt, A.D.C., relinquishes the appointment of Chief Staff Officer, Personnel, which appointment is abolished. Dated 1st December, 1937.

Squadron Leader A. de T. Nevill, B.Sc., A.M.I.Ae.E., relinquishes the appointment of Staff Officer, Air Staff and Intelligence. Dated 1st September, 1937.

(This officer performed the duties of Chief Staff Officer, Equipment, from 2nd September to 30th November, 1937, which appointment is abolished. Dated 1st December, 1937.)

Promotion.

Wing Commander T. M. Wilkes, C.B.E., M.C., A.D.C., to be Group Captain, and is seconded to the Civil Aviation Branch while employed as Controller of Civil Aviation. Dated 1st November, 1937.

Appointments confirmed.

The undermentioned officers are confirmed in the rank of Pilot Officer. Dated 1st December, 1937 :—

S. M. Kirkcaldie, B.E.

These officers cease to be posted to the R.N.Z.A.F. Station, Wigram Aerodrome, and on proceeding to England for attachment to the Royal Air Force, are seconded while so employed. Dated 3rd December, 1937.

Retirement in the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

Flying Officer K. A. McKenzie, the Wellington Territorial Squadron, is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 8th November, 1937.

Appointment in the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy.

Mr. Thomas George Edward Hallin confirmed in the rank of Warrant Engineer in the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy, with seniority of 15th October, 1936.

Producers’ Representative on the New Zealand Honey Control Board appointed.—(Notice No. Ag. 3520.)

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint, in terms of paragraph (b) of subsection (2) of section 4 of the Honey-export Control Act, 1924—

Percival Augustus Hillary, Esquire,

to be a representative of the producers on the New Zealand Honey Control Board established under the said Act, to hold office for a term of two years commencing on the 1st day of January, 1938.

to be the Registrar of Electors for the Electoral District of Hurunui for the purposes of the Electoral Act, 1927, and its amendments, as from the 22nd day of November, 1937.

Constable Edward Buckley,

to be Clerk and Bailiff of the Magistrates’ Court at Kaeo for the purposes of the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1928, as from the 14th day of December, 1937.
