IT is hereby notified that an order of adoption as set out in the Schedule hereunder has been made by the Native Land Court under the provisions of the Native Land Act, 1931.

Appointment of Deputy District Public Trustee.
NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by section 3 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921-22, I, the Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, have appointed Sydney George Lamb, of the Public Trust Office, Nelson, to be the Deputy of the District Public Trustee, Nelson, during the absence of such District Public Trustee from his headquarters from any cause and during any vacancy of the office of such District Public Trustee by death or otherwise, and all previous warrants appointing any deputy of the said District Public Trustee have been revoked. CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, 1st December, 1937.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 17th January, 1938. Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 19th January, 1938, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands. Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position, such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms, or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply guarantees of their own financial position. The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and improvement loading.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Mangonui County.-Opoe Survey District.
(Exempt from payment of rent for three years.) Section 75, Block V : Area, 74 acres i rood 30 perches. Capital value, £60. Half-yearly rent, £1 4s. The rental exemption is conditional on improvements being effected to the value of £40 per annum, in addition to the improvements ordinarily required under the Land Act, 1924. This area, which is totally unimproved, is situated on the Awanui-Waiharara Road, approximately one mile from Waiharara Post-office, School and Store. Access is from Waiharara or Awanui by formed sandy roads. Approximately 45 acres poor peat swamp and 29 acres sandy hills covered in fern and tea-tree scrub. Water can be obtained from springs, or by sinking shallow wells. (H.O. 9/3200 ; D.O. O.R.P. 5502.)
THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Whangarei County.-Purua Survey District.
(Exempt from payment of rent for four years.) Section 54, Block IX : Area, 178 acres. Capital value, £90. Half-yearly rent, £l 16s. The rental exemption is conditional on improvements being effected to the value of £30 per annum, in addition to the improvements ordinarily required under the Land Act, 1924. Weighted with £54 for improvements, consisting of a shack of one room and boundary-fencing. This sum is payable in cash, or over a period of three years with interest at 5 per cent.
