WAIROA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Extract from the Minutes of Proceedings of the Wairoa Borough Council at a meeting of such Council held on the 26th day of October, 1937.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Wairoa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000 authorized to be raised by the Wairoa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing for the cost of the preparation and sealing corners of streets and additional sealing in Locke Street, and for the extension of culverts and the meeting of the increased labour-costs in connection with the sealing of approximately seven miles of streets in the Borough, the said Wairoa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.36d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property of the district comprising the whole of the Borough of Wairoa, and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Wairoa was hereunto affixed pursuant to a resolution in that behalf in the presence of—

MOLSON IONIZED IODINE CO. (AUSTRALASIA), LIMITED.

IN LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of the MOLSON IONIZED IODINE Co. (AUSTRALASIA), LIMITED, in Liquidation.

NOTICE is hereby given that by an entry in its minute-book on 30th October, 1937, the above-named company passed the following special resolution :—

“That, in view of the proposed formation of a public company, to operate the agency till now held by this company, that this company be now wound up voluntarily. Decided that Mr. C. A. ELSEY of 173 Stuart Street, Dunedin, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator for the purposes of such winding up.

Dated at Dunedin, this 1st day of November, 1937.

EDUCATION BOARD OF THE DISTRICT OF WELLINGTON.

Under the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Wellington requires to take the land with improvements described hereunder :—

In Wellington.—Part Section 43, Karori District, fronting South Karori Road, containing 1 acre 0 roods 36.9 perches.

The land is required for the purpose of a public work—namely, a public school within the meaning of “ The Education Act, 1914.”

Notice is hereby given that a plan of the said land is open for inspection at the offices of Messrs. Brandon, Ward, Hislop, and Powles, Solicitors, Brandon House, Featherston Street, Wellington.

All persons affected by such taking are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the said Board, the offices of which are situated in Mercer Street in the City of Wellington.
