Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the powers of the said Board to borrow moneys in excess of the limits fixed by the said section thirty-one are hereby extended, but so as not to exceed the sum of seventeen thousand pounds: Provided that no moneys as aforesaid shall be borrowed except subject to the provisions of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and its amendments.

Portion of a Road, in the County of Waitaki, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of November, 1937.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Waitaki County Council on the twenty-fourth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, viz.:
“ The Waitaki County Council, being the local authority having control of the roads within the County of Waitaki, hereby resolves that pursuant to the provisions of section hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, that the provisions of that section shall not apply to that portion of the road within the said county known as Bobbing (or Bobbin) Creek Road which adjoins and intersects part Section 47, Block VI, and Sections 1, 3, and 17, Block V, Awamoko Survey District, as shown on plan deposited in the Lands Registry Office at Dunedin as Number 5024 ”; subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the portion of road (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of road, situated in the Otago Land District, County of Waitaki, adjoining or passing through Section 47, Block VI, and Sections 3, 17, and 1, Block V, Awamoko Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 97328, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Wright Street and Portion of Bridge Street, in the Borough of Napier, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of November, 1937.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Napier Borough Council on the second day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, viz.:
“ That the Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the Borough of Napier, hereby declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the undermentioned public street and part of a public street in the Borough of Napier, namely:—
(1) That public street known as Wright Street, containing 1 rood 5 perches, more or less, passing between Town Sections 542 and 500 and 543 and 626, Napier, and shown edged blue on the plan.
(2) That part of a public street known as Bridge Street, containing 37·5 perches, more or less, passing between Town Sections 512 and 538 and 513 and 539, Napier, and shown edged red on the plan ”;
the portions of streets affected by such resolution being described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that street, situated in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Borough of Napier, known as Wright Street, adjoining or passing through Sections 500, 542, 543, and 626, Town of Napier.
Also all that portion of street, situated in the said land district and borough, known as Bridge Street, adjoining or passing through Sections 512, 513, 538, and 539, Town of Napier.
As the same are more particularly delineated in the plan marked P.W.D. 97082, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged blue and red respectively.

Reconstitution of Southland and Wallace and Fiord Hospital Districts to Form one Hospital District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of November, 1937.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS a Commission of Inquiry appointed pursuant to the provisions of section two of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Amendment Act, 1932, has recommended that the hospital districts of Southland and Wallace and Fiord be reconstituted so as to form one hospital district. His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section three of the aforementioned Act and of all other powers him in that behalf enabling: (a) doth hereby abolish as from the thirty-first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, the hospital districts of Southland and Wallace and Fiord; (b) doth hereby constitute as from the same date a new hospital district under the name of “ The Southland Hospital District,” comprising the whole of the area included in the hospital districts of Southland and Wallace and Fiord so abolished; (c) doth hereby combine into combined districts the respective contributory districts of the Southland Hospital District the names of which are set out in the second column of the Schedule hereto and therein bracketed together; (d) doth hereby select and appoint the contributory local authorities the districts of which are distinguished in the second column of the Schedule hereto by the letter “ p ” to be the principal contributory local authorities of the respective combined districts in which such contributory local authorities are included respectively; (e) doth hereby determine that the number of representatives on the Southland Hospital Board of each of the contributory districts and combined districts within the Southland Hospital District shall be respectively as set forth in the Schedule hereto; (f) doth hereby determine that the first election of representatives of the contributory districts and combined districts shall be held simultaneously with the next ordinary election of members of the contributory local authorities of the Southland Hospital district; provided that this determination shall not prevent any prior exercise of the power of appointment conferred on the Governor-General by section ten of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926, as amended by section forty-three of the Finance Act, 1931
