Excluding Streets from Limitation as to Speed imposed by the
Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.


IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment
Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport does hereby exclude
the streets described in the Schedule hereto from the limitation
as to speed imposed by the said section.


SCHEDULE.

Situated within Morrinsville Borough—
Paeroa–Hamilton Main Highway No. 17 (all that portion
from the western boundary of Morrinsville Borough
as now constituted, to a point opposite the saleyards,
a distance of approximately 30 chains).

Situated within Northcote Borough—
Northcote Main Highway No. 97 (all that portion from the
north-eastern boundary of Northcote Borough as now
constituted, to the junction of the said main highway
and Raleigh Road, a distance of approximately 54
chains).

Situated within Takapuna Borough—
Northcote Road (all that portion from the south-western
boundary of Takapuna Borough as now constituted,
to the junction of Northcote Road and Taharoto Road,
a distance of approximately 40 chains).
Wairau Road and Taharoto Road (all that portion from the
north-western boundary of Takapuna Borough as now
constituted, to the junction of Taharoto Road and
Northcote Road, a distance of approximately 70 chains).
Shakespeare Road (all that portion from its junction with
Taharoto Road to its junction with Alma Road, a
distance of approximately 45 chains).

Situated within Tauranga Borough—
Waihi–Tauranga Main Highway No. 15 (all that portion
from the western boundary of Tauranga Borough as now
constituted, to a point 5 chains measured along the road
in a north-westerly direction from the junction of the
said main highway and Edgecumbe Road, a distance of
approximately 25 chains).
Tauranga–Whakatane Main Highway No. 15 (all that
portion known as Turret Road, extending from Roberts
Street to the southern boundary of Tauranga Borough
as now constituted, a distance of approximately 37
chains).
Matamata–Tauranga Main Highway No. 20 (all that portion
from the south-western boundary of Tauranga Borough
as now constituted, to the junction of the said main
highway and Roberts Street, a distance of approximately
30 chains).

Situated within Whangarei Borough—
Otaika Road (all that portion from the Waiariki Stream
bridge to the southern boundary of Whangarei Borough
as now constituted, a distance of approximately 56
chains).
Onerahi Road (all that portion from the eastern boundary
of Whangarei Borough as now constituted, to a point
2 chains measured along the said road in a south-easterly
direction from the junction of the said road and Dundas
Road, a distance of approximately 39 chains).

Notice defining a Rescue-station Levy Area in the Grey Coal-mining Area.


WHEREAS by subsection four of section six of the Coal-mines Amendment Act, 1936, it is provided that every rescue-station established in accordance with the foregoing provisions of the said section shall be established in respect of an area to be defined by the Minister by notice published in the Gazette :

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the said subsection four of section six of the said Act, I, Patrick Charles Webb, Minister of Mines, do by this notice define the area described in the Schedule hereto as an area (to be known as the Grey Rescue-station Levy Area) in respect of which a rescue-station may be established.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Westland Land District bounded on the north by a line from the mouth of the Kararoa or XII Mile Creek to the confluence of Smoke Oh Creek with Blackball Creek; thence by Blackball Creek to its confluence with the Grey River; thence by a right line to Trig. Station C in Block VII, Mawheranui Survey District; thence by a right line to Trig. Station E in Block X, Mawheranui Survey District; thence by a right line to Trig. Station A.Z. Rata Tree Peak, in Block XIII, Arnold Survey District; thence by a right line to the easternmost corner of the Town Belt north of the Borough of Greymouth; thence along a right line to the sea-coast at Point Elizabeth, and by the sea-coast to the mouth of Kararoa or XII Mile Creek, the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked Mines N. 8/58/2, deposited in the Head Office, Mines Department, Wellington, and thereon edged red.
