Notice to Persons affected by Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

I HEREBY give notice that an application has been received from A. E. Oldfield for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at the Post-office Store, Takanini.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau in respect of this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 14th October, 1937. All representations must set out clearly the grounds for same and include a statement showing the gallonage throughput of petrol sold and the nature of the business conducted by the person making the representations.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 29th September, 1937.

Notice is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 15th November, 1937.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 17th November, 1937, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position, such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms, or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply guarantees of their own financial position.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and deposit on account of improvement loading.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Mangonui County.—Mangonui Parish.

Allotment 39 : Area, 61 acres 0 roods 27 perches. Capital value £50. Deposit on deferred payments, £5 : Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £1 9s. 3d. Renewable lease : Half-yearly rent, £1.

Weighted with £60 for improvements, consisting of boundary-fencing and 44 acres cleared and grassed. This amount is payable in cash or by a deposit of £10, and the balance (£50) by four annual instalments of £12 10s. with interest at 5 per cent. per annum on the amount outstanding.
