Varying the Determinations in respect of Portion (£4,500)
of the Alexandra Borough Council’s Loan of £7,000.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of
September, 1937.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the fourth day
of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-
six, and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and
repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising
in New Zealand by the Alexandra Borough Council (herein-
after called “the said local authority”) of the sum of seven
thousand pounds (£7,000) by a loan to be known as “Sewerage
Loan, 1936” (hereinafter called “the said loan”):
And whereas the sum of four thousand five hundred pounds
(£4,500) (hereinafter called “the said sum”), being portion
of the said loan, has not yet been borrowed, and it is expedient
to vary certain of the determinations in respect thereof:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government
Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of
the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and
authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary
certain of the determinations in respect of the said sum by
prescribing as follows :—
(1) In lieu of the term of thirty-five (35) years specified
in clause one of the said Order in Council the term shall be
fifteen (15) years.
(2) In lieu of repayment as specified in clause three of
the said Order in Council the said sum shall be repaid as
follows :—
(a) By thirty equal payments of one hundred and thirty-
five pounds fifteen shillings and eightpence
(£135 15s. 8d.), one of such payments to be made at
the end of every half-year commencing from the
date on which the said sum is borrowed. Each such
half-yearly payment shall be applied firstly in pay-
ment of interest computed at the rate of three pounds
ten shillings (£3 10s.) per centum per annum on the
amount of the principal for the time being out-
standing at the beginning of each such half-year
and the balance of such half-yearly payment in
reduction of such principal.
(b) By a payment at the end of the fifteenth year from the
date of the borrowing of the said sum of a sum equal
to the amount to which the principal has been
reduced in accordance with the preceding paragraph
(a) hereof after payment of the aforesaid thirty (30)
half-yearly payments.

of Cook County Council’s Loan of £14,800 by prescribing
Repayment on the Instalment-repayment System.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of
September, 1937.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the fourteenth
day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-
six, and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and
repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising
by the Cook County Council (hereinafter called “the said
local authority”) of the sum of fourteen thousand eight
hundred pounds (£14,800) by a loan to be known as “Roads
and Bridges Supplementary Loan, 1936” (hereinafter called
“the said loan”):
And whereas the sum of ten thousand pounds (£10,000)
(hereinafter called “the said sum”), being portion of the
said loan, has not yet been borrowed, and it is expedient to
vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect
thereof :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government
Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of
the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and
authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary
certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said
sum by prescribing that in lieu of making provision for the
repayment of the said sum by establishing a sinking fund in
respect thereof the said local authority may raise the said sum
upon terms of making the same, together with interest thereon,
repayable by equal aggregate half-yearly instalments
extending over a period of fifteen (15) years.

Reconstitution of Thames, Waihi, and Coromandel Hospital
Districts to form one Hospital District.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of
September, 1937.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS a Commission of Inquiry appointed pur-
suant to the provisions of section two of the Hos-
pitals and Charitable Institutions Amendment Act, 1932,
has recommended that the hospital districts of Thames,
Waihi, and Coromandel be reconstituted so as to form one
hospital district. His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, and in pursuance
and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section
three of the aforementioned Act and of all other powers him
in that behalf enabling—(a) doth hereby abolish as from
the thirtieth day of November, one thousand nine hundred
and thirty-seven, the hospital districts of Thames, Waihi,
and Coromandel; (b) doth hereby constitute as from the
same date a new hospital district under the name of “The
Thames Hospital District,” comprising the whole of the
area included in the hospital districts of Thames, Waihi,
and Coromandel so abolished; (c) doth hereby determine
that the number of representatives of each of the contributory
districts within the Thames Hospital District shall be as
set forth in the Schedule hereto; (d) doth hereby determine
that the first election of representatives of the contributory
districts shall be held simultaneously with the next ordinary
election of members of the contributory local authorities of
the Thames Hospital District; provided that this deter-
mination shall not prevent any prior exercise of the power
of appointment conferred on the Governor-General by section
ten of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926,
as amended by section forty-three of the Finance Act, 1931
(No. 2); (e) doth hereby direct that the first meeting of
the Board of the Thames Hospital District shall be held at
the general hospital at Thames on the first day of December,
one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, at the hour of
two o’clock in the afternoon; and (f) doth hereby lastly
direct that the regulations made by Order in Council dated
the thirteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-seven, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-
first day of April then instant, at page 1096, shall as far as
applicable apply as if incorporated in this Order in Council.
