Road traversing Native Land proclaimed as a Public Road in Block XVI, Tokomaru Survey District, Gisborne Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto traverses Native land and has been used by the public as a public road :
And whereas the Native Land Court, by an order made on the second day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, and issued pursuant to section four hundred and eighty-four of the Native Land Act, 1931, ordered and declared the said road to be a public road :
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands in terms of section four hundred and eighty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931 :
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road :
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four hundred and eighty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.

In the Gisborne Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 34/133, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2798, and thereon coloured pink.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 17th day of September, 1937.

Settlement Land in Wellington Land District proclaimed to be Ordinary Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section forty-nine of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, as amended by subsection one of section ten of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1935, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any settlement land to be, inter alia, ordinary Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924 :
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is settlement land within the meaning of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925 :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by the aforesaid section forty-nine, amended as aforesaid, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of the gazetting hereof the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be ordinary Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

Approving the Term of a License granted to Beattie Coster and Company, Limited, for a Tramway crossing the Main Street within the Borough of Mataura.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of September, 1937.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Tramways Act, 1908, and the Tramways Amendment Act, 1910, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the term of the license granted for a period of fourteen years from the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, by the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Mataura, a body corporate duly incorporated under the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, to Beattie Coster and Company, Limited, a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Mataura, in Otago (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), authorizing the licensee to construct and maintain a private tramway across the Main Street, Mataura, the position of such tramway being more particularly shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 56881, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Vesting Control of a Reserve under the Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of September, 1937.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on him by section five of the Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby vest the control of the reserve for recreation, described in the Schedule hereto, in the Minister of the Crown for the time being having the administration of the said Act; and doth hereby declare that the said reserve shall be administered under the said Act.
