Authorizing the Laying-off of Road of less Width than 66 ft.

WHEREAS in the opinion of the Minister of Lands it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of the Town of Ashburton Extension No. 26, affecting parts Rural Section 8767, Block XIII, Ashburton Survey District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that Allison Street and Wharekura Street shown therein should be of the width of 66 ft. :

Now, therefore, I, Frank Langstone, Minister of Lands, do hereby, in pursuance of the power conferred upon me by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every power me thereunto enabling, authorize the laying-off of such road of a width of not less than 50 ft. : Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle-line of such road.

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to an application in that behalf made to me by the Onehunga Branch of the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters' and Joiners' Industrial Union of Workers, registered number 799, situated at Onehunga, and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by section 22 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, it is my intention to cancel the registration of that industrial union after the expiration of six weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, unless in the meantime cause is shown to the contrary.
