Declaring Areas to be Closely Populated Localities for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.
IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport does hereby declare the respective areas described in the Schedule hereto to be closely populated localities for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed-limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE.
Situated within Waipa County—
All that area adjoining the Great South Road from the northern boundary of the Hamilton Borough as now constituted to the junction of the Great South Road and Forest Lake Road.
All that area adjoining the Great South Road from the southern boundary of the Hamilton Borough as now constituted to a point opposite the southern boundary of the Melville School grounds.
All that area adjoining Hamilton—Raglan Main Highway No. 17 from the western boundary of the Hamilton Borough as now constituted to a point 5 chains measured along the road in a westerly direction from the said boundary.
All that area adjoining Frankton—Pirongia Main Highway No. 466 from the western boundary of the Hamilton Borough as now constituted to a point 18 chains measured along the road in a southerly direction from the said boundary.
All that area adjoining the Great South Road from the northern boundary of the Te Awamutu Borough as now constituted to a point 15 chains measured along the road in a north-westerly direction from the said boundary.
All that area adjoining Te Awamutu — Cambridge Main Highway No. 319 from its junction with the Great South Road near Te Awamutu to its junction with Te Rahu Road.
Situated within Whakatane County—
All that area at Taneatua adjoining the Whakatane—Gisborne via Waioeka State Highway from a point 4 chains measured along the highway in a north-westerly direction from the junction of the State Highway and Howell Road to a point 4 chains measured along the highway in a north-easterly direction from the junction of the State Highway and Ruatoki Road.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block II, Takahue Survey District, for the Purposes of a Native School.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a Native school—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Kaitaia, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 96636, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Notice of Intention to take Land for the Purposes of Harbour-reclamation Works at the Estuary of the Hutt River, in Block XVI, Belmont Survey District.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 20 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1936, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of harbour-reclamation works at the estuary of the Hutt River: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Head Office of the Public Works Department at Wellington, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 21 acres 2 roods 9 perches.
Being part Section 20, Harbour District, and part closed road, part of the said land being part of the land shown on D.P. 9594.
Situated in Block XVI, Belmont Survey District.
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 91140, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged blue.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Orari and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Being portion of part Rural Section 4407.
Situated in Block X, Geraldine Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.P. 2440.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 95897, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
