A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests
Act, 1921–22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a
permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—CANTERBURY FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District containing
by admeasurement 45,000 acres, more or less, being Run 237,
situated in Blocks I, II, III, IV, V, and VI, Saddle Survey
District, Blocks IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XV, and XVI,
Marion Survey District, and Blocks I, II, III, and IV, Lake
Sumner Survey District, Squares 110 and 111, Amuri, and
bounded as follows: Towards the north and east generally
by Run 233A; towards the south generally by an old pack-track, the Three-mile Creek, Lake Sumner, Section 1, Squares
110 and 111, Amuri, and the Hurunui River; and towards
the north-west generally by the summit of the Main Divide.
As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 127/3,
deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at
Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of

Land in the Westland Land District proclaimed as ceasing to be
set apart as National-endowment Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three hundred and two of the
Land Act, 1924, as amended by section ten of the
Land Laws Amendment Act, 1926, it is enacted that on the
disposal of any national-endowment land by way of sale, or
on the acquisition of the fee-simple of any such land, the
Governor-General may by Proclamation declare that such
land shall, as from a date to be specified in the Proclamation,
cease to be national-endowment land:

And whereas the fee-simple of the land described in the
Schedule hereto (being land heretofore held on a license
issued under the regulations for the occupation of pastoral
lands within the Karamea and Westland Mining Districts)
has been acquired, and it is expedient that the said land
should cease to be national-endowment land:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred upon me by the aforesaid section
three hundred and two of the Land Act, 1924, I, George
Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that from and after the first day of July, one thousand nine
hundred and thirty-seven, the land described in the Schedule
hereto, which was set apart as national-endowment land
under the provisions of section two hundred and fifty-eight
of the Land Act, 1908, shall cease to be national-endowment
land.

SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.

PART Sections 159 and 3366, Blocks XIV and XI, Mawheraiti
Survey District: Area, 200 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of
August, 1937.

under the provisions of section two hundred and fifty-eight
of the Land Act, 1908, shall cease to be national-endowment
land.

SECTION 2780, Block XVI, Greymouth Survey District:
Area, 7 acres 1 rood 4 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of
August, 1937.

Revoking in Part a Proclamation setting Lands apart for
Village Special Settlements for Perpetual Leasing under
Part IV of the Land Act, 1885.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred upon me by section five of the Land Act, 1924,
I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke, in so far
as it relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto,
the Proclamation dated the seventh day of July, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-six, and published in the Gazette of
the eighth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-six, at page 812, setting apart lands for village special
settlements for perpetual leasing under Part IV of the Land
Act, 1885.

SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—MAKAREWA VILLAGE.

SECTION 3, Block IX : Area, 13 acres 1 rood 36 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of
August, 1937.
