Alterations in W/T. Fog Service.

Position: Lat., 34° 28′·5 S.; long., 172° 39′ E. (approx.).
Details: Until further notice W/T. signals during fog
or clear weather will be sent on request only. Signals will
be sent at any time during fog for an hour or longer if required,
and at any time during daylight in clear weather. No change
will be made in the signals which consist of a series of the
letter J (- - -) sent continuously for two minutes every
five minutes.
Masters requiring signals should communicate with Auck-
land W/T. station (ZLD) as follows "Request signals C.
Maria beacon from to N.Z. time."

No charges will be made for the message.

meeting of the Matamata Borough Council on the 16th day of
June, 1937, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested

Matamata Borough Council hereby resolves and declares
by way of special order that the undermentioned plant is a
noxious weed within the Borough of Matamata:
Silver poplar (Populus Nivea).

Dumping Duty on Indian Pig Iron.

Customs Department,
Wellington, 9th August, 1937.

IT is hereby notified for public information that the
notification published in the Gazette on 22nd September,
1927, at page 2920, respecting the imposition of dumping
duty on pig iron, the produce or manufacture of India, is
withdrawn.
Dumping duty will not in the meantime be charged on
shipments of pig iron imported from India in cases where the
selling-price to an importer in New Zealand is less than the
current domestic value determined in accordance with the
Customs Acts, but the Minister of Customs reserves the
right to impose dumping duty immediately should circum-
stances arise in future which would warrant such a course.
