of the Finance Act, 1932(No. 2), and of all other powers
and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby
consent to the raising by the said local authority of the
said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of one
thousand two hundred pounds (£1,200), and in giving such
consent doth hereby determine as follows:

(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof
may be raised shall be eight (8) years.

(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of
the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not
produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding three pounds
ten shillings (£3 10s.) per centum per annum.

(3) The said loan together with interest thereon shall
be repaid by equal aggregate annual instalments extending
over the term as determined in (1) above.

(4) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent
after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.

Varying the Determinations in respect of the Blenheim Borough
Council's Loans of £8,500 and £3,000.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 4th day of
August, 1937.

Present:

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Orders in Council made on the twenty-
third day of December, one thousand nine hundred
and thirty-six, and the seventh day of May, one thousand
nine hundred and thirty-seven, and subject to the
determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set
out, consents were given to the raising by the Blenheim
Borough Council (hereinafter called “the said local
authority”) of sums of eight thousand five hundred pounds
(£8,500) and three thousand pounds (£3,000) respectively by
loans to be known respectively as “Abattoir Loan, 1936,”
and “Additional Abattoir Loan, 1937” (hereinafter called
“the said loans”):

And whereas the authorities conferred by the said Orders
in Council have not yet been exercised:

And whereas the said local authority is desirous of raising
the said loans in one sum of eleven thousand five hundred
pounds (£11,500) (hereinafter called “the said sum”), and
it is expedient to vary certain of the determinations of the
said Orders in Council in respect of the said sum:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government
Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of
the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and
authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary
certain of the determinations of the said Orders in Council by
prescribing that the said local authority shall make provision
for the repayment of the said sum by the annual redemption
of debentures in the years set out in the first column of the
Schedule hereunder of the respective amounts set out opposite
each year in the second column of the said Schedule, the
first such redemption to be made not later than one year
after the first day from which interest to the lender or lenders
is computed on the said sum or any part thereof so raised and
the following redemptions annually thereafter.

County Council's Loan of £2,500 by prescribing Repayment
over a Period of Twenty Years.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of
July, 1937.

Present:

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the thirtieth
day of September, one thousand nine hundred and
thirty-six, and subject to the determinations as to borrowing
and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the
raising in New Zealand by the Castlepoint County Council
(hereinafter called “the said local authority”) of the sum of
two thousand five hundred pounds (£2,500) by a loan to be
known as “Tinui Valley-Taniwha Road Loan, 1936” (here-
inafter called “the said loan”):

And whereas the said loan has not yet been raised, and it
is expedient to vary the determinations aforesaid in respect
thereof by prescribing repayment over a term of twenty (20)
years in lieu of a term of twenty-five (25) years:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government
Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of
the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and
authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary
the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said loan by
prescribing that in lieu of a term of twenty-five (25) years
as provided in clause one of the said Order in Council the
term for which the said loan may be raised shall be twenty (20)
years.

Officer authorized to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the
three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the
Peace Act, 1927, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby notify and declare that Ethelbert Frank Codyre,
being an officer in the service of the Crown holding the office
of Postmaster at Upper Moutere, is authorized to take and
receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-
first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 2nd day of August, 1937.

the Findings and Sentences thereof.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section thirteen of the Defence Amendment Act, 1912,
I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the
undermentioned officers to convene general or district courts-
martial for the trial under that Act of such persons subject to
military law as are, for the time being, under or within the
territorial limits of his command, and empower such officers
to confirm the findings and sentences of general or district
courts-martial whether passed before or after the issue of
this Warrant:

Major-General J. E. Duigan, C.B., D.S.O., N.Z.S.C., while
commanding the New Zealand Military Forces.
Lieut.-Colonel (Temp. Colonel) R. Miles, D.S.O., M.C.,
R.N.Z.A., while holding the appointment of Officer
Commanding the Northern Command.
Colonel P. H. Bell, D.S.O., N.Z.S.C., while holding the
appointment of Officer Commanding the Southern
Command.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 29th day of July, 1937.
