WELLINGTON CENTRAL.
Wellington Central comprises the existing Wellington Central Electoral District less that portion of Wellington City lying to the west of Tory Street now included in the Wellington North Electoral District hereinbefore described; also less that portion of Wellington City lying between the existing Wellington Central Electoral District boundary, the southern side of Bidwell Street, and western side of Wallace Street. This district now includes that portion of Wellington City lying between the existing Wellington Central Electoral District boundary, the northern side of Tapiri Street, north-western side of Hamilton Road, north-eastern side of Overton Terrace, the north-eastern side of Belvedere Road, and the western shores of Evans Bay and the southern shores of Wellington Harbour.
WELLINGTON EAST.
Wellington East comprises the existing Wellington East Electoral District less that portion of Wellington City lying between the existing Wellington East Electoral District boundary, the northern side of Tapiri Street, the north-western side of Hamilton Road, the north-eastern side of Overton Terrace, and the north-eastern side of Belvedere Road now included in the Wellington Central Electoral District hereinbefore described.
WELLINGTON SOUTH.
Wellington South comprises the existing Wellington South Electoral District together with that portion of Wellington City lying between the existing Wellington South Electoral District boundary, the southern side of Bidwell Street, and the western side of Wallace Street now excluded from the Wellington Central Electoral District hereinbefore described.
WELLINGTON WEST.
Wellington West is bounded on the north generally by the northern boundary of the Makara Riding of Makara County from the sea to the western boundary of Wellington City; thence bounded towards the east generally by the western boundary of the said Wellington City, to and along the Kaiwarawara Stream, to and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 2, Kaiwarra, to the Wellington North Electoral District boundary; thence by that boundary and the western boundaries of the Wellington Central and Wellington South Electoral Districts hereinbefore described to Cook Strait; thence bounded towards the south and west generally by the sea to the northern boundary of the said Makara Riding, the place of commencement.
HUTT.
Hutt District is bounded on the west, north, and east generally by the Wellington-Wairarapa Railway line from the Main Hutt Road railway-crossing to Melling Road; thence by that road to and along Brunswick Street, to and along Kings Crescent, to and along Pretoria Street, to and along the Hutt Borough boundary, to and along Witako Street, to and along Waterloo Road, to and along Cambridge Terrace, to and along White’s Line, to and along the eastern and southern boundaries of the said Hutt Borough to Port Nicholson Harbour; thence bounded towards the south by the shores of the said Port Nicholson Harbour to a point in line with the Main Hutt Road railway-crossing; thence by the road to the Wellington-Wairarapa Railway line, the place of commencement, including Gear Island.
WELLINGTON SUBURBS.
Wellington Suburbs District is bounded by the Otaki, Wairarapa, and Hutt Electoral Districts hereinbefore described from the ocean at the northern boundary of the Ohariu Riding of Makara County to Port Nicholson at a point in line with the Main Hutt Road railway-crossing; thence by the shores of the said Port Nicholson and Wellington Harbour to the Wellington North Electoral District boundary hereinbefore described; thence by that boundary and the Wellington West Electoral District boundary hereinbefore described to the ocean at the northern boundary of the Makara Riding of Makara County; thence by the ocean to the northern boundary of Ohariu Riding, the place of commencement.
Proposed Boundaries of the Electoral Districts in the South Island of New Zealand.
THE South Island Representation Commission, appointed under the Electoral Act, 1927, in pursuance of section 11 of the said Act, hereby publish for general information the following proposed boundaries of the electoral districts in the South Island (including Stewart and Chatham Islands); and, further, give notice that written objections to the same, addressed to the undersigned, the Chairman of the said Commission, will be received at the office of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Lands and Survey Department, Christchurch, up to noon on Tuesday, the 31st day of August, 1937, for consideration by the aforesaid Commission.
Maps of the proposed districts may be seen at the offices of the several local bodies in the South Island (including Stewart Island); of the Chief Surveyors at Dunedin, Christchurch, Nelson, Blenheim, Hokitika, and Invercargill; of the Chief Electoral Officer at Wellington; and of the several Registrars of Electors throughout the South Island aforesaid (including Stewart Island).

SOUTH ISLAND ELECTORAL DISTRICTS.
WESTLAND.
WESTLAND District comprises the existing Westland Electoral District less the whole of the Red Jack, Nelson Creek, and Waipuna Ridings, all of the Grey County. This district now includes that portion of Greymouth Borough lying to the north of the Grey River; also that portion of the Cobden Riding of the said Grey County lying between the said portion of the Greymouth Borough and the said Grey River; also that portion of the said Cobden Riding bounded towards the west and north by the sea, towards the east by the eastern boundary of the Rapahoe Scenic Reserve, and towards the south generally by the northern boundary of the aforesaid Greymouth Borough.
BULLER.
Buller District comprises the existing Buller Electoral District less that part of the Greymouth Borough and those portions of the Cobden Riding of Grey County now included in the Westland Electoral District hereinbefore described; also less that portion of Antonio’s Riding of Inangahua County lying to the east of the Greymouth-Reefton Railway line; also less that portion of the Crushington Riding of the said Inangahua County lying between the existing Buller Electoral District boundary and the south-western boundary of the said Crushington Riding. This district now includes the whole of the Boatman’s Riding of the aforesaid Inangahua County; also includes the whole of the Waipuna, Nelson Creek, and Red Jack Ridings of the Grey County now included in the Westland Electoral District hereinbefore described; also includes the whole of the Karamea Riding of Buller County and that portion of the Mokihinui Riding of the said Buller County lying between the existing Buller Electoral District boundary and the northern boundary of the said Mokihinui Riding.
MOTUEKA.
Motueka District comprises the existing Motueka Electoral District less the whole of the Boatman’s Riding of Inangahua County; also less the whole of the Karamea Riding of Buller County and that portion of the Mokihinui Riding of the said Buller County now included in the Buller Electoral District hereinbefore described; also less that portion of the Wai-iti Riding of Waimea County lying to the south of the existing Motueka Electoral District boundary; also less that portion of the Stoke Riding of the said Waimea County lying to the south of the existing Motueka Electoral District boundary; also less that portion of the Motupiko Riding of the aforesaid Waimea County bounded towards the north-east generally by the existing Motucka Electoral District boundary from the north-east corner of Section 34, Block X, Wai-iti Survey District, to and along the Nelson-Tadmor Railway line to the eastern boundary of the said Motupiko Riding; thence bounded towards the east generally by the said eastern boundary of the aforesaid Motupiko Riding to the north-east corner of Block XI, Gordon Survey District; thence bounded towards the south by the northern boundary of the said Block XI, Gordon Survey District, to and along the northern boundary of Section 28, Block X, Gordon Survey District, to the road forming the north-eastern boundary of the Golden Downs Settlement; thence bounded towards the west generally by the said road to and along the road forming
