Notice to Persons affected by Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
I HEREBY give notice that an application has been received from M. N. Sands for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at the Municipal Motor Camp at Rotorua.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau in respect of this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 5th August, 1937. All representations must set out clearly the grounds for same and include a statement showing the gallonage throughput of petrol sold and the nature of the business conducted by the persons making the representations.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures.
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 20th July, 1937.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 16th August, 1937.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 18th August, 1937, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position, such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms, or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply guarantees of their own financial position.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount of improvement loading.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Waitemata County.—Waitemata Survey District.
SECTION 18, Block XIV: Area, 15 acres 3 roods 30 perches. Capital value, £105. Deposit on deferred payments, £5: Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £3 5s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £2 2s.
Weighted with £5 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising fencing.
Situated on a side road off Birdwood Road, Henderson, approximately three miles and a quarter from Henderson Railway-station, Post-office, and shopping centre by metalled road. The Birdwood School is one mile and a half distant. Undulating to hilly section in fern, hakea, gorse, and manuka. Approximately 75 per cent. ploughable. The soil is of a heavy nature on sandstone; watered by swampy streams.
