NOTICE.

ALLAN ELLIOTT McDONALD, Esquire, of Geelong, in the State of Victoria, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of the State of Victoria, has this day been appointed by the Right Honourable Sir Michael Myers, G.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand, a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in the State of Victoria under the 47th section of the Judicature Act, 1908, for the purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.

Declaring Areas to be Closely Populated Localities for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Transport, do hereby declare the respective areas described in the Schedule hereto to be closely populated localities for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed-limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SCHEDULE.

SITUATED within Hawke's Bay County-
All that area at Clive adjoining the portion of Farndon-Hastings Main Highway No. 30, commencing at a point 5 chains measured along the road in a north-westerly direction from the Ngaruroro River Bridge and terminating at the junction of the said main highway and Mill Road.

Situated within Waipawa County-
All that area at Takapau adjoining the portion of Wai-pukurau-Matamau via Hatuma Main Highway No. 415, commencing at a point opposite the tennis-courts approximately 5 chains in a north-easterly direction along the main highway from Meta Street and terminating at a point opposite the Takapau Railway-station.

All that area at Takapau adjoining the Takapau West Main Highway No. 497, commencing at the junction of the said main highway and Nancy Street and terminating at the junction of the said main highway and the Waipukurau-Matamau via Hatuma Main Highway.
