Notice to Persons affected by Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

I HEREBY give notice that an application has been received from M. Hartley for a license to take fish at Port Ahuriri by means of a 32 ft. 6 in. motor-launch using long-lines.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau in respect of this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 22nd July, 1937.

Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.—Notice to Flax Millers and Growers.

NOTICE is hereby given that a plan of reorganization for the flax (Phormium tenax) industry has been completed in consultation with representatives of the industry, and copies have been circulated to all known flax millers and growers. A voting-paper has been attached for an expression of opinion as to whether or not the plan should be adopted under the provisions of the Industrial Efficiency Act.

Any person being a flax miller or grower who has not received a copy of the plan and voting-paper may procure same at the District Offices of the Department of Industries and Commerce at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 6th July, 1937.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 16th August, 1937.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 18th August, 1937, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position, such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms, or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply guarantees of their own financial position.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.


SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Hobson County.—Tutamoe Survey District.

(Exempt from payment of rent for three years.*)

SECTIONS 25 and 26, Block XIII: Area, 241 acres 2 roods 28 perches. Capital value, £200; half-yearly rent, £4.

*Rent exemption is conditional on the required deposit being paid, and is subject to permanent improvements equivalent to the value of the concession being effected each year in addition to the usual improvements required in terms of the Land Act, 1924.

This property is situated two miles from the Kaihu Post-office, School, and Township by metalled road. Easy undulating country in scrub and fern, except for approximately 7 acres of mixed bush in gullies. Altitude 600 ft. to 700 ft. above sea-level.

SECTION 10, Block VI: Area, 134 acres 2 roods 25 perches. Capital value, £70; half-yearly rent, £1 8s.

Section 11, Block VI: Area, 117 acres 2 roods 29 perches. Capital value, £75; half-yearly rent, £1 10s.

Section 13, Block VI: Area, 157 acres 2 roods 33 perches. Capital value, £120; half-yearly rent, £2 8s.

Section 14, Block VI: Area, 183 acres 1 rood 36 perches. Capital value, £115; half-yearly rent, £2 6s.

These sections, which will be suitable for dairying when developed, are situated on Knight’s Road, off the Kamo-Ruatangata Road. Access is from Kamo, ten to twelve miles distant, by metalled road to within one mile of the block, then by formed cart-road; twelve miles from the Ruatangata Railway-station, and eleven miles from the Whangarei Dairy Factory. There is a school two miles distant.

Section 10: Approximately 120 acres easy undulating land; balance slightly broken. The whole area is in fern, scrub, and wild danthonia, with the exception of 1 acre of bush. The soil is of a clay nature on clay; watered by seepage from gullies. Metalled road to within one mile of this section.

Section 11: Easy undulating land, except for a few acres broken. The whole area is in fern and scrub and wild danthonia. The soil is of a clay nature on clay; watered by small swamps. Metalled road to within two miles of this section.

Section 13: All easy undulating land in fern, scrub, and wild danthonia. The soil is of a fair to poor clay nature on clay; watered by small swamps. Metalled road to within two miles of this section.
