J. RHODES AND SON, LTD.

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that on the 21st day of June, 1937, a special resolution was passed by the above company that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that WILLIAM JAMES HENRY WALKER, of Christchurch, Accountant, be nominated as liquidator of the company. Notice is also given that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, at the office of Messrs. Sincock and Walker, 99 Hereford Street, Christchurch, on Thursday, the 1st day of July, 1937, at 2.30 p.m., at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company, and, in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

AKITIO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Akitio County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000 authorized to be raised by the Akitio County Council under section 8 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Amendment Act, 1934, for the purpose of providing the Council’s share of the cost of metalling the Waihi Valley Road, North Range Road, Spur Road, and Sugar Loaf (Spur Extension) Road, respectively, the said Akitio County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-third of a penny (1/23rd) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property in the County of Akitio, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Akitio County Council at a special meeting held in the Council Chambers, Pongaroa, on the 8th day of February, 1937.

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of the creditors of International Chemical Laboratories, Limited, will be held pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, at the offices of Julius Hogben, Colonial Mutual Building, Queen Street, Auckland, on Wednesday, the 30th day of June, 1937, at 2.15 o’clock in the afternoon, at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company, and, in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

TAKE notice that the final general meeting of the above-named company will be held at the offices of the Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co-operative Association, Limited, Takapau, on the 9th day of July, 1937, at two o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of having laid before it an account of the winding up showing how the winding up has been conducted and the property of the company has been disposed of.
