ERRATUM.—In the First Schedule to the Proclamation dated 19th May, 1937, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 34 of the 27th day of the same month, at page 1195, proclaiming land as road, road closed, and land taken in Blocks II and VI, Mangamuka Survey District, Hokianga County, for the area of “2 perches” read “2 roods 2 perches.”

Additional Land at Christchurch taken for the Purposes of the Hurunui–Waitaki Railway (Christchurch–Lyttelton Branch).

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Christchurch–Lyttelton Branch of the Hurunui–Waitaki Railway to take further land at Christchurch in addition to land previously acquired for the purpose of the said railway :

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

In the Canterbury Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 4584, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of June, 1937.

A

Defining the Middle-line of a Road in Blocks V and VI, Paekakariki Survey District—viz., Portion of the Plimmerton–Paekakariki Road.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a road desired to be constructed over Blocks V and VI, Paekakariki Survey District—viz., portion of the Plimmerton–Paekakariki Road—shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto ; and I do also declare that in respect of the land situated on the north-western side of the said middle-line this Proclamation shall affect only that land situated within a distance of five chains from the said middle-line ; provided also that no land situated on the south-eastern side of the Wellington–New Plymouth Railway line shall be affected excepting that land affected by that portion of the said middle-line between the point of commencement and the said railway-line, which said land shall only be affected to the extent of five chains from the said middle-line.

SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point on the existing Plimmerton–Paekakariki Road opposite part Waimapihi Block (D.P. 9960), Block V, Paekakariki Survey District, and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction generally for a distance of approximately 1 mile 23·4 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c., viz., part Waimapihi Block (D.P. 9960), railway land, another part Waimapihi Block, Lots 48, 47, 35, and 34, D.P. 8279, Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, D.P. 9096, part Pukerua 3c No. 1A Block, parts Lot 4, D.P. 6787, Block V, Paekakariki Survey District, Lots 4, 3, and 2, D.P. 3473, Block VI, Paekakariki Survey District, and terminating at a point opposite the eastern corner of Lot 30, D.P. 7262 ; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses : all in the Wellington Land District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 95814, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of June, 1937.
