NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeit by resolution of the Land Boards of the respective land districts, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlement Act, 1925.

Lands in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Government Buildings, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 19th July, 1937.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 21st July, 1937, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands. The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

(Exempt from payment of rent for five years conditional on the selector effecting permanent improvements to the value of £30 annually.)

Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 2nd June, 1937.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 19th July, 1937.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 21st July, 1937, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position, such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms, or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should state to what extent that are prepared to do so and supply guarantees of their own financial position.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Whangarei County.—Waikiekie Parish.

ALLOTMENT 68: Area, 139 acres 2 roods 31 perches. Capital value, £110. Deposit on deferred payments, £10: Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £3 5s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £2 4s.

This section is situated at Waikiekie on what was known as the Old Great North Road, now known as Tapuhi–Waikiekie Road, three miles from Waikiekie Railway-station by metalled road, four miles from school, six miles and a half from the saleyards, and twenty-three miles from the dairy factory at Whangarei. The whole area is open tea-tree country, parts being old gumfields, all more or less undulating with small gullies. Soil of clay on pipeclay formation; poorly watered by gullies and soakage. Altitude 300 ft. to 500 ft. above sea-level.
