FIRST SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF TIMARU.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, bounded by
a line commencing at a point at high-water mark on the
sea-shore opposite the north-eastern corner of Rural Section
2445 ; then westerly to and along the northern boundary
of that section to the Railway Reserve ; then southerly
along the eastern side of the Railway Reserve to Eversley
Road ; then along a right line to the southernmost corner
of Lot 69 on D.P. 751 ; then northerly along the western
side of the Railway Reserve to the easternmost corner of
Lot 71 on D.P. 751 aforesaid ; then along the north-
eastern boundaries of Lots 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, and 76, on
D.P. 751, to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned
section ; then along the north-western boundary of Lot
76 aforesaid to the Main North Road, north-westerly along
the north-eastern side of the Main North Road to a point in
line with the south-eastern side of Macdonald Street ; then
to and along the south-eastern side of Macdonald Street to
the north-western corner of Lot 26 on D.P. 3430 ; then
along the south-western boundary of said Lot 26 to its
southernmost corner ; then westerly generally along the
north-western boundary of Lot 17 on D.P. 2458 to the
eastern boundary of Lot 34 on D.P. 3430 ; then along the
eastern boundary of Lots 34 and 33 to the north-eastern
corner of the last-mentioned lot ; then along the northern
boundary of Lot 33, D.P. 3430 aforesaid, to the eastern side
of Bouverie Street ; then southerly along the eastern side
of Bouverie Street to a point in line with the southern side
of Andrew Street ; then to and along the said southern
side of that street to the north-western corner of Lot 71 on
D.P. 3430 aforesaid ; then along a right line to a point
on the western boundary of Lot 10 on D.P. 2552 distant
200 links from the north-eastern corner of Lot 1 on D.P.
3426 ; then along the western boundary of Lot 10 for a
distance of 200 links to the north-eastern corner of Lot 1
on D.P. 3426 aforesaid ; then along the northern bound-
aries of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 to the northernmost corner of
the last-mentioned lot ; then along the north-western
boundary of said Lot 5 to the north-eastern side of Selwyn
Street ; then south-easterly along the north-eastern side
of Selwyn Street aforesaid, and crossing Luxmoore Road, to
the southernmost corner of Lot 5 on D.P. 2830 ; then
south-westerly across Selwyn Street and along a line being
the production of the north-western boundary of Lot 1 on
D.P. 6464 to a point 500 links distant from the south-western
side of Selwyn Street ; then southerly along lines parallel
to and distant 500 links from that road to the northern
boundary of Rural Section 1846 ; then westerly along the
northern boundary of that section to the westernmost corner
of Lot 1 on D.P. 2545 ; then south-easterly along the
south-western boundary of the said Lot 1 to the Waima-
taitai Stream forming the boundary between Rural Sections
1846 and 1529 ; then westerly along that stream and its
southern branch to the eastern boundary of Rural Section
5742 ; then southerly along the eastern boundary of that
section and its production across the Wai-iti Road to a point
distant 500 links from that road measured at right angles
therefrom ; then south-easterly parallel to and distant
500 links from Wai-iti and Otipua Roads to the north-
western boundary of Lot 2 on D.P. 4088 ; then south-
westerly along that boundary to the south-western boundary
of the said Lot 2 to the northernmost corner of Lot 3 on
D.P. 4173 ; then south-westerly along the north-western
boundaries of Lots 3 and 4, D.P. 4173, to the north-eastern
side of Hill View Road ; then south-easterly along the
northern side of Hill View Road aforesaid, crossing Otipua
Avenue, to the north-western side of Chaucer Street ;
then north-easterly along the north-western side of said
Chaucer Street to a point 500 links distant from the south-
western side of Otipua Road ; then south-easterly along
a line parallel to and distant 500 links from Otipua Road
aforesaid to the southern boundary of Rural Section 4908 ;
then south-westerly along that boundary to a point on
the right bank of the Otipua Creek, being a production of
the said southern boundary of Rural Section 4908 ; then
to and in a northerly direction up the said Otipua Creek to
a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 1 on D.P.
10922 ; then to and along the eastern, northern, and
western boundaries of the said Lot 1 to and across the
Otipua Creek ; then southerly along the right bank of
that creek to a point in line with the northern boundary of
Lot 6 on D.P. 9476 ; then to and along that boundary to
and across the Otipua Creek ; then north-westerly along
that creek to a point in line with the eastern boundary of
Lot 5 on D.P. 9476 ; then to and along that boundary
and the north-eastern boundary of the said Lot 5 to Otipua
Creek ; then across that creek and proceeding in a north-
westerly direction up its right bank to a point in line with
the eastern boundary of Lot 4 on D.P. 9476 ; then to and along the eastern, northern, and western boundaries of the
said Lot 4 to and across the said Otipua Creek ; then
north-westerly generally along that creek to a point in line
with the eastern boundary of Lot 3 on D.P. 9476 ; then
to and along the eastern, northern, and western boundaries
of the said Lot 3 to and across the said Otipua Creek, and
proceeding in a north-westerly direction along the right
bank to its intersection with the southern side of Claremont
Road ; then southerly along the said southern side of that
road to the northernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 9476 ; then
south-easterly generally along the northern boundary of the
said Lot 1 to the Otipua Creek ; then along a right line
across that creek to the south-western corner of Lot 18 on
D.P. 8445 ; then southerly down the left bank of the Otipua
Creek aforesaid to the southernmost corner of Lot 13 on
D.P. 8445 ; then easterly along the southern boundary
of the said Lot 13 and Lot 14 on D.P. 8445 to the south-eastern
corner of Lot 14 aforesaid ; then in a northerly direction along
the eastern boundary of the said Lot 14 to a point 1079·37 links
distant from the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned lot ;
then along a right line 76·5 links distant to a point on the
southern boundary of Lot 4 on D.P. 9604 and 98 links distant
from the south-western corner of the said Lot 4 ; then easterly
along the southern boundary of that lot to a point 500 links
distant from the south-western side of Otipua Road ; then
south-easterly along a line parallel to and distant 500 links
from Otipua Road to the southern boundary of Rural Section
4497 ; then along that boundary and the south-western
boundaries of Allotments Nos. 1 to 14 inclusive on D.P.
1900 ; then along a right line from the south-western
corner of the last-mentioned allotment to a point on the
eastern boundary of Rural Section 4839, distant 595·4 links
from Otipua Road measured along the said eastern boundary ;
then along the south-western boundaries of Allotments
Nos. 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2 of Rural Section 2139 to Mount
Horrible Road (Coonor Street) ; then easterly along the
northern side of that road to Otipua Road ; then southerly
across Mount Horrible Road (Coonor Street) to the north-
western corner of Lot 3 on D.P. 2306 ; then in a westerly
direction along the southern side of the said Mount Horrible
Road (Coonor Street) to the northernmost corner of Lot 1
on D.P. 1332 ; then along the north-eastern and south-
eastern boundaries of that lot to the northernmost corner
of Lot 4 on D.P. 1080, and along the north-eastern and
south-eastern boundaries of that lot to its southernmost
corner ; then south-easterly along the north-eastern
boundary of Rural Section 1690 to the Otipua Creek, and
down the left bank of that creek to the southernmost corner
of Lot 42 on D.P. 437 ; then to and along the north-western
and north-eastern boundaries of Rural Section 1700 to the
western boundary of Rural Section 1730, and along that
boundary to the south-western corner of Lot 48 on D.P.
3433 ; then along the south-western boundary of the said
Lot 48 to its southernmost corner ; along a right line to the
south-western corner of Lot 47 of the said D.P. 3433 ; and
along the south-western boundaries of Lots 47, 46, 45, 44,
43, 42, 41, 40, and 39 on D.P. 3433 ; then along a right
line to the westernmost corner of Lot 37 of the said D.P.
3433, and along the south-western boundary of that lot to
the eastern boundary of Rural Section 1730 ; then along
the said boundary to the southernmost corner of that section,
and along a right line to the northernmost corner of the area
shown on D.P. 1128 ; then along the eastern boundaries
of that land to the Main South Road ; then across the
Main South Road and south-westerly along its south-eastern
side to the left bank of the Salt-water Stream ; then down
the left bank of that stream to the southernmost corner of
Lot 104, Redruth Township ; then north-easterly along
the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 104, 103, 102, 101, 100,
99, 98, 97, 96, 95, 94, and 93 to the easternmost corner of the
last-mentioned lot ; then along a right line, being the
production of the north-eastern boundary of Lot 93 aforesaid,
to the south-eastern boundary of Lot 106 ; then north-
easterly along that boundary to the southern side of Shaw
Street ; then north-westerly along the south-western side
of Shaw Street to a point in line with the south-eastern
boundary of the land shown on Certificate of Title, Volume
292, folio 217, in the office of the District Land Registrar at
Christchurch ; then to and along that boundary to the
southern boundary of Lot 77, Township of Redruth ; then
along the southern, western, and northern boundaries of
Lot 77, and the northern boundary of Lot 108, to a point in
line with the eastern side of Simmons Street ; then across
Rothwell Street and along the southern and eastern bound-
aries of Lot 66, the southern boundary of Lot 59, and the
southern and eastern boundaries of Lot 60 to the southern
side of the public road forming the northern boundary of
Rural Sections 1911 and 1998 ; then easterly along that
road to the western boundary of the Otipua Domain ; then
generally southerly along the western and southern sides of
that domain to its south-eastern corner ; then south-
easterly to high-water mark of the sea ; then northerly
along the high-water mark of the sea to the point of com-
mencement.
