WAITAKI COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR PURPOSES OF
GRAVEL-PIT AND ROAD TO GIVE ACCESS THERETO.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitaki County Council
proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned
Act to execute the following public works—namely, to work
and use and continue to work and use part of Sections 50
and 63, Block I, Kauroo Survey District, as a gravel-pit for
extracting gravel for road purposes, and to make, use, and
continue to use a roadway to give access to the said gravel-pit
upon parts of Sections 50, 63, and 65, Block I aforesaid :
And that for the purposes of such public works the lands
described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken :
And further that a plan showing the said lands so required to
be taken is deposited in the public office of the said Council,
situate in Thames Street, Oamaru, and is open to inspection
without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours :
All persons affected who have any well-grounded objections
to the execution of the said public works or to the taking
of the said lands must set forth their objections in writing and
send the same within forty days from the first publication of
this notice to the Waitaki County Council, Thames Street,
Oamaru.
SCHEDULE.
Land required to be taken for Gravel-pit and Roadway from
Leasehold Property of Miss V. M. H. Nichols.
All that piece of land situated in the County of Waitaki
containing 2 acres 1 rood 26.3 poles, more or less, being part
of Sections 50, 63, and 65, Block I, Kauroo Survey District,
coloured pink on the plan above referred to, such land being
portion of land held by one Violet Mary Helen Nichols under
lease from His Majesty the King.
Land required for Balance Roadway to give Access to the said
Gravel-pit from Freehold Property of the Misses Fenwick.
All that piece of land situated in the County of Waitaki
containing 1 rood 24.6 poles, more or less, being part of
Sections 63 and 65, Block I of the said Kauroo Survey
District, coloured blue on the said plan, such land being
portion of land of which Constance Louisa Hamilton Fenwick
and Evaline Frances Fenwick are registered as proprietors.

MEDICAL REGISTRATION.
GEORG LEMCHEN, M.D. (Berlin), Special Examination, Dunedin, now residing in Wellington, hereby give
notice that I intend applying on the 25th June next to have
my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of
New Zealand ; and that I have deposited the evidence of my
qualification in the office of the Department of Health
at Wellington.

ROTORUA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and
section 34 of the Local Legislation Act, 1936, and of all other
powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Rotorua Borough
Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the
half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect
of the Rotorua Borough Council Aerodrome Extension Loan,
1936, authorized to be raised by the Rotorua Borough
Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of
purchasing land for the extension of the existing aerodrome,
the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
two hundred and twenty-three ten-thousandths of a penny
(0.0223d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of
the capital value) of all rateable property in the Borough of
Rotorua, and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable
annually on the 1st day of April in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years or
until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE is hereby given that I the undersigned FRANCIS
GEORGE BRIGHT, of Whangarei, in the Provincial
District of Auckland and Dominion of New Zealand, Engineer
(heretofore or sometime known and whose certificate of birth
is registered as Francis George Giesler), being a British subject,
have by deed-poll dated the 15th day of May, 1937, and enrolled
in the Supreme Court Office at Auckland, renounced
and abandoned my surname of Giesler and assigned and
adopted the surname of Bright for all purposes whatsoever.
